Days of Our Lives’ Frances Reid Passed Away.

Daytime legend Frances Reid passed away on February 3 at the age of 95.

She will be best known to Days of Our Lives audiences as Alice, the proud matriarch of the Horton family, a role that she played since the series premiered in 1965. Even back then she was no stranger to the world of soaps. Reid had already established herself as a reliable actress in the genre with her roles on As The World Turns (as Grace Baker 1959-1962) and Edge of Night (as Rose Pollack in 1964).

The Young and The Restless Spoilers For February 9 – 11!

While some are held over due to a flight delay, other lives are put on hold by choice…

Billy and Victoria find themselves stranded in New York, due to a layover. While they share some laughs, at Adam’s expense, Mac is back in Genoa City comforting JT, who’s waiting for Victoria to get home. Victoria and JT finally come to a decision. Whether or not it’s too late for this once couple in love, Victor can’t help but put his two cents in and gives JT a warning. On the other side of the Newman family coin, Adam and Sharon set forth to plan a fantasy life together, but we all know that fantasy and reality tend to clash, even in this fictional town.

* Crystal Chappell (Dr. Carly Manning) will be appearing on “The Bonnie Hunt Show” on Monday January 25. Check your local listings for times.

* Kristian Alfonso and Peter Reckell (Hope and Bo Brady) will be making a special appearance at the Meet & Greet at River Cree Casino in Edmonton Alberta, Canada on Saturday February 13. You can catch them there between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM, or between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.

General Hospital Marks A Milestone.

General Hospital will air its 12,000th episode on February 23.

“In any climate, it is amazing that we have the opportunity to celebrate such a momentous occasion. This milestone honors the strength of the daytime drama and looks to the future that ‘General Hospital’ will continue to air many, many more episodes,” Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps has stated about this achievement. When As The World Turns goes off the air this fall, GH will be the longest running soap still on TV.

Former Days of Our Lives Production Designer Bob Rappaport Passes Away.

Veteran production designer Bob Rappaport has died.

Rappaport was the Production Designer/Art Director on such notable TV series as “The Mike Douglas Show,” “Let’s Make A Deal,” “Santa Barbara” and Days of Our Lives. The Pittsburgh, PA. native earned a Master’s Degree in Theatre Design at New York University. Rappaport died of cardiac arrest on January 28 2010 in Lakeland, Florida at the age of 67. He is survived by his two children and brothers.
