General Hospital Comings & Goings (Past)
In the ever-revolving door to Port Charles, here’s what’s new:
Annie M. Fitzgerald, who plays Yvette on GH: NS, will show up for a medical storyline on August 12.
Was that chemistry you spotted between Sasha (played by Sandra Hess) and well, anyone? Catch her the week of August 18 to look again.
Young (hint, hint) mobster Florian Klein is on his way to Port Charles. Could he be in search of his daddy?
We’ve not seen the end of Rick Springfield as Noah, but Rick Springfield as Eli Love just might be gone for good. But you never know with soaps. If he has a new song to pimp next year, the rocker playboy could be back for another butt-kickin’ from Anna, right?
It’s nearly contract time for four of our biggest players. The collective futures of Maurice Benard (Sonny), Rick Hearst (Ric), Steve Burton’s Jason (contract expires October 1, 2008) and Sarah Brown’s Claudia (contract expires January 14, 2009) hang in the balance. Gee, without these people, General Hospital might just have to be a show about a hospital again.
Meanwhile, Rick Hearst (Ric) will go on a two-week vacation to Manhattan and then the Bahamas. In a lovely example of the often taked about life-imitates-art syndrome, Ric Lansing will be on vacation (with his daughter Molly) too!
Looks like we’ll continue to see Logan’s somewhat gruesome demise until, well, that remains hazy. SOF has learned that even Josh Duhon is surprised that they keep calling him back to the set.
It’s lights out for Dr. Russell Ford (Richard Gant). The surly chief of staff was crushed to death by a runaway car in the ER on GH: Night Shift. On GH, however, the meanie will still be around in the form of flashbacks. (Gee, that’s original.)
Graham Shiels‘ Iraq vet Cody has made a comeback! Stay tuned to see what his deal is. He’ll appear next on August 11 and 18.
Will Vanessa Marcil (Brenda) grace the set of GH any time soon? Rumors abound but there’s still nothing concrete to say.
Last but certainly not least is the triumphant return of Genie Francis (Laura) on August 26! Laura will only be “awake” from her vegetative state for a month this time around, but still, we’ll get to see that smile.
