Career Highlights in Soaps: Before joining Days in 1982, she appeared on the soaps Love of Life as Vanessa Dale Raven Sterling (1951-1955), The Young Marrieds as Susan Garrett (1964-1966) and as Iris Fairchild on General Hospital (1967-1970). She has had an extensive career on television stretching back to 1949 and including roles on “Gunsmoke”, “Lou Grant”, “Cagney and Lacey” and dozens more.
Claim to fame: She has been nominated for two Daytime Emmys and three Primetime Emmys, winning one for her work in “The Trials of Rosie O’Neill”.
Trivia: She spends much of her free time helping several organizations including PETA, The Fund for Animals, Last Chance for Animals, and Defenders of Animals.
