The Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Summary for July 28 - August 1, 2008

Despite everyone’s best efforts, Donna didn’t back down from remaining in control of Forester Creations and fired Ridge, Thorne and Felicia in the process. She told the press that Rick, Brooke and Marcus would help her run things and even put Marcus in charge of Shipping and Receiving – take that Thorne!

Pam of course was a busy body and tried to get involved. Much to probably everyone’s shock, Donna didn’t fire her because she thought Eric wouldn’t want that. Um, but he’d want his kids fired? However, Pam did get demoted as Donna sent her downstairs to general reception.

Owen became Donna’s personal cheerleader through all this and supported her decision to run Forrester Creations without Eric’s children. He crossed the line though when he kissed her. Owen later came to her house to apologize for his behavior and then discovered that Donna’s bedroom had been ransacked. He took it upon himself to pick up and go through her strewn about underwear himself. Can you say creepy? When Donna found out someone had been through her things, Owen offered to stay the night to protect her, but Donna smartly declined the offer. To calm her nerves, Donna made herself a drink with the gin Owen had previously given Eric, but Owen stopped her from sipping it and dumped it out. Curious, no?

The next day Marcus learned what had happened and became suspicious of Owen. When he demanded his mother send her assistant packing, Owen fessed up to having a more than professional interest in his boss. He admitted that he was originally drawn to the powerful lifestyle the Forresters lead, but after getting to know Donna, he had became quite taken with her. Feeling like she has to put her husband’s company first, Donna eventually agreed with her son and told Owen he would have to leave his position at Forrester Creations. Owen led Donna to believe he was going to San Diego, but it’s more likely that he hasn’t gone anywhere.

Meanwhile, Ridge seems to be accepting the fact that he is a man of leisure these days, as he told Brooke it gives him more time to spend with her and the kids. However, he does want his lovely fiancé to continue working with Donna so that he knows someone capable is running things at FC.

Nick and Bridget shared some intimate moments this week, leading Bridget to ask if Nick would like to have a baby. Nick said he’d love to have more children, but was a bit wary about reliving the pain of losing Nicole. Bridget said she’s so happy, she thinks anything is possible and Nick agreed to having a family with her.

Katie went in for a checkup and told her doc she’s been feeling good, both physically and emotionally. She did however say she’s feeling a bit queasy lately though. The doctor ran some tests and told a shocked Katie that she’s pregnant! Uh-oh!

What do you think of the week’s events? Have we seen the last of Owen? Could Katie and Nick have possibly done the deed? And what will Ridge do now with all that time on his hands?
