Here is the current scoop on who is coming, coming back, not yet coming back because she accepted a role on primetime, moonlighting on Night Shift, honeymooning but won’t be missing from the action, and making her tiny debut on General Hospital:
*Although ABC never verified that were trying to sign Tom Pelphrey (‘JB’ from Guiding Light until recently), a CBS trade mag is reporting that Pelphrey turned down an offer to come to GH as, get this, Connie’s son, because he didn’t want to commit to a long-term soap role.
*Rick Hearst has signed a new contract! He’ll be around for the “forseeable future,” according to a show spokesperson. That’s great news for Rick, his fans, and who knows, maybe even Claudia!
*Peter Allas (Vito) will be on hand starting September 23 to play Olivia’s brother.
*Leslie Charleson will be moonlighting on GH: Night Shift on October 7.
*Vincent Pastore’s Maximus Giambetti will first appear on Monday, September 15 and is slated to appear on six episodes. Look out Max and Milo, Daddy’s home.
*Baby Scrubs will make her debut on October 29. She might only be a plastic doll at this point since there is no news of the infant’s real-life name, but a new character is born! Read the rest of this entry »

Move over Susan Lucci! It may not be “Dancing with the Stars”, but General Hospital’s Constance Towers (the evil Helena Cassadine) is about to appear in Burbank’s Falcon Theatre as a dancer in the comedy “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks”. Her co-star is Jason Graae, whose resume includes musicals such as “Forbidden Hollywood” and “Forever Plaid”. “Six Dance Lessons” was written by Richard Alfieri and is to be directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman, with choreography by Kay Cole. It turns out that Nicole is not just sick from the clam chowder at the pub or a newfound allergy to orange juice, she’s actually knocked up, most likely with the latest branch in the DiMera family tree. But family troubles are not for her alone. In fact, they continue to be the order of the day in Salem. Newly reunited siblings Max and Melanie have something new to bond over. In addition to hating their father, at least one of them may have killed him. Now they can show how much they care about each other by covering up the crime, if there is anything to cover up between them. The circle of loathing that Trent cast everywhere he went was increasing on a daily basis so there are still quite a few suspects to be discovered in the murder of the evil bearded one.
