EX-General Hospital’s Vanessa Marcil Dabbles In Reality!

From “Lipstick Jungle” to just plain lipstick!

Specifically the name of the new Lifetime reality show that Vanessa Marcil will be hosting is called “Blush: The Search for the Next Great Make-Up Artist.” It premieres on Tuesday November 11, 2008 from 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM (ET/PT).

Contestants from all over the United States will compete for a professional artist position at Max Factor, a cash prize of $100,000 and the opportunity to serve as the make-up artist for a Style magazine photo shoot. The judges are Joanna Schlip, beauty author and professional make-up artist and InStyle Fashion Director, Hal Rubenstein. The contestants will be mentored by Charlie Green, LA make-up artist, as they go through their various challenges.

While this news is good for Vanessa, General Hospital fans might be less than thrilled because the new commitment represents one more schedule conflict that will likely stand in Vanessa’s way to reprise her role as Brenda Barrett in Port Charles any time soon. Head GH Writer, Bob Guza Jr., has been very verbal during his media interviews when he says that he already has ‘Brenda’s’ role written for whenever she finds time to come back to the soap for a visit.
