Former Days of Our Lives Star Gloria Loring Headlines TV Tunez Live!
Former Days of Our Lives star Gloria Loring makes a nostalgic return to performing!
You may remember her best as Liz Chandler, a role which she played from 1980- 1986, or you may know her from the ten albums she’s recorded, or the fact that she is the mother of music star Robin Thicke. Even if you don’t know her for any of that, you may very likely recognize some of the famous theme tunes that she’s written for TV series over the years. Whether it’s her memorable theme for the “Facts of Life,” or the theme for “Different Strokes” her music sensibility has likely touched your life in some way.
Now Gloria will be returning to the stage to headline “TV Tunez Live!,” a celebration of TV theme songs from the past few decades. Selections will include the famous examples above as well as renditions of the themes from “Cheers,” “The Brady Bunch” and “American Bandstand.” The show, designed by five-time Emmy Award winning art director Rene Lagler, also promises video clips, surprise guest appearances and audience sing-alongs. It will receive its world premiere at the Music Box Theatre in Hollywood on February 4 2009 before going on tour.
If you’re lucky enough to attend this special event, please be sure to come back and tell Soap Opera Fan Blog all about it. For more on what Gloria has been up to, please check out Soaps.com’s interview with her here.

Loved her as Liz Chandler beautiful voice. She and Marlena had lots of good storylines. Can’t remember the Dr. in middle but he was good too. Lots of good memories of those Days

I miss Gloria on Days Of Our Lives — I wish they would bring her back. I’m sure Marlena would be glad to have her back too since they both were in love with Don Craig.
I typed Gloria’s name in so I could see how she’s wearing her hair now.I wear mine the way she used to wear it on Days Of Our Lives,of which she used to comb
(or brush)it straight back above her ears, and the back wasn’t as long as it is in the above
picture.I like the old way better.
When is Gloia’s birthday and how old is she? According to her above
picture,she hasn’t changed at
all,except her hair style.
