John Callahan is Coming to Days of Our Lives.
Salem is getting yet another doctor for their increasingly busy hospital.
We don’t know much about him so far except that he’ll be interacting quite a bit with knocked-up Nicole. We also know that he will be played by a face that will be familiar to many soap viewers. All My Children‘s John Callahan will be playing the part of the latest doctor to sail into Salem’s harbor.
Callahan is best known as Edmund Grey on AMC, where he was a popular player from 1992-2005. You may have also caught him in his stints on “Falcon Crest”, “Santa Barbara” and General Hospital. He even made an appearance on Days of Our Lives back in 1989, though it only lasted a single day. His more recent appearances include work on “Desperate Housewives” and “Watch Over Me.” Soap Opera Fan Blog is happy to see this Daytime veteran returning to the fold.
Look for his first appearance on November 24.

Looks like November is nothing but E.J.and Nicole so I,ll check back in December to see if we,ll get aglimps of E.J.and Sami You know the soaps are about the only excitement us old widow womengets out of live.

I agree. I won’t watch much in November. I can NOT stomach EJ and Nicole. God I just hate that character, she’s just too much.

I agree with both of you too! Hopefully this new doctor will be an interest for Nichole. We know that ALI will leave the show to have her baby and hopefully when she returns Sami and EJ can be together!

Hmmm, I’m all about EJ and Nicole – what I can’t stand is EJAMI – they are terrible together – no chemistry what so ever and extremely boring to watch. If fact, I think Nicole deserves much better than EJ. In my opinion, he should just go away – maybe with Chloe!

I honestly think that EJ needs to be with Sami, Nicole with Brady, Lucus with Steph because they both wine alot about everything.Cloe sleeps with anyone that will have her so she needs to be taken off the show. I also think Kate needs to go. I mean come on she interfears in everyones life and destroys her kids and then she knows that chelsies mom slept with Nick and now she is sleeping with the doc. Come on.

I am also with all of you about November being nothing but EJ and Nicole. I can’t stand that woman. She always has to have who ever catches her eye. Sami and EJ were made to be together and they already share one child and another on the way. Nicole came up in Salem acting as if she is gods gift to men and just opened her legs and took what was not hers to begin with. Now she is pregnant and EJ can not see through her bull. She is out for money and that is that. If EJ stays with Nicole and not with Sami I will stop watching Days and I have been watching days since I was old enough to watch it with my grandmother. What a joke!!!!!!!!

I loved the Nicole character finally showing heart; I SO didn’t want them to do a faked pregnancy! It was a surprise to discover that Ariane Zucker is such a dynamite actor – her tearful scenes after losing the baby were of Oscar quality.
It looks like they’re going psychic with Bo and I couldn’t be more excited. Let’s hope they do it right. I loved this show best when they wrote out of the box.
Losing John and Marlena is unfathomable; I may finally quit my addiction to the show when they are gone. They ARE the show – along with Bo & Hope!
PLEASE, writers, enough with the sick people – I am so SICK of seeing ppl in hospital beds – do you not realize that the best shows are the ones that have FUN, humor, surprises, twists, excitement – and which move along QUICKLY?
A few years back, the females on Days wore gorgeous clothes and were very adventurous with hairdos and hair jewelry… loved it!

WHY DIDN’T YOU JUST KEEP DRAKE & DEIDRE & JUST GIVE THEM A BETTER STORY LINE – JOHN & MARLENA WERE A SYMBOL OF DOL LIKE TOM & ALICE I CAN SEE BRINGING IN THE YOUNGER GENERATION BUT THE WRITERS HAVE THEM SO SCREWED UP WITH NO “ELDERS” TO GUIDE THEM I HAVE WATCHED THIS SHOW SINCE THE BEGINNING WHEN JULIE WAS AN INCORRIGABLE TEENAGER & I AM SO DISAPPOINTED.

I am all for EJ and Sami being together, Nicole and Brady, Chloe and the doc, Lucas and Stepanie, Bo and Hope on the mend and leave Carley out of it, maybe put her and Rafe together since she has fished him out of the ocean…hmmm..I havent watched Days in months due to all the character changes they replay the story lines over and over and over and it gets really old, We will never see who we want to together because the writers think we will not be loyal anymore, well unless I see some couples actually getting together and making it through some “real life” stuff I am done with Days…
