Days of Our Lives Terrell Ransom Jr. Walks for Autism.

Terrell Against Autism!

Since he took over the role of Theo Carver on Days of Our Lives, actor Terrell Ransom Jr. and his mother Katrina have become active participants in the Autism awareness campaign. In support of the cause, Terrell will be raising money for the Autism Speaks “Walk Now for Autism” event. Commenting on their involvement, Katrina explained that autism, “affects so many of Terrell’s peers (1 out of 150) children in his age group and we’ve had the pleasure of meeting children affected… they have touched our lives forever. We want to do whatever we can to help these children and their families by raising awareness and money for research, cures and prevention.”

Terrell shall be personally participating in the event on April 25 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. It will be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. In addition to being Autism Speaks signature fundraising and awareness event, this is also the largest grassroots Autism walk program. “Walk Now for Autism” events are held throughout the country and also include entertainment, refreshments, an Autism community resource fair and more. For additional information, please visit the Walk Now For Autism website.

If you’d like to help Terrell reach his goal of raising $10,000 for Autism, please visit the Terrell Against Autism page and give your donation to the cause.

  1. From Rebel Abadie

I like this storyline and it is being potrayed nicely. I have a high functioning 12 yr old autistic son and raising awareness is what we need, out in public people can be so ignorant and lacking understanding especially when a big 12 yr old meltsdown acting like a 3 yr old because he didn’t get his way. It’s hard for us when they stare and are not sensitive. We need more and more awareness out there. Thanks, Rebel

Reading about this is a breath of fresh air for people who are looking for help with autism. Thank you for your advocacy I too am sharing the same goals as you are. (my apologies for the weird name I’m doing it for the benefit of toys designed for therapy in autism if you could please visit my link for further info)
