General Hospital Weekly Summary from November 10 - 14!
All I know is that if I were Sonny I’d be scared shirtless. Well, I’d have a shirt on, likely a Kevlar one, but I couldn’t use the real word I wanted to say since this is a G-rated blog, ya know?
Long story short, Sonny blew Karpov away, point blank, and he has been in dire straights pretty much every since! He wasn’t in trouble with the cops thanks to Carly’s alibi (that she and Sonny had sex all night when Karpov was murdered!), but it seemed like all of Russia is raining down on his Port Charles parade. Sasha told Sonny that he would be the last to die and that when death finally came, he would be begging for it. To prove her point, Mike was beaten to a pulp and Kelly’s was burnt down. One of Jason’s truck yards (and a few of his men) were blown to bits and by week’s end, Jason’s office was burning with Olivia in it! Oh yea, Kate was released from General Hospital and the first thing she did was break up with him.
Anthony, however, was in a much more chipper mood. He was at home recovering from his brain surgery when he got the news of the mob war. He told Johnny that things were looking up for their family business because Sonny had no where to run but to them for help. When Johnny told Lulu about it, she urged him to break free from the family business because she loves him. In lieu of an answer, there was a kiss.
Sam narrowly escaped the freighter explosion that Jerry had in store for her. That’s because Spinelli was able to track their whereabouts and Jason came on board for the rescue. He and Sam jumped overboard and it appeared that Jerry went down with the ship. What was he doing as he realized that his bomb would go off before he could escape? Laughing. That’s so Jerry.
Which brings us to Jax, who has also pretty much had a crappy week. First he decides to give his marriage to Carly another shot only to find her at her house hiding Sonny, then she tells the PCPD that she was having sex with the guy! Right after he told her that he is quite finished coming in second with her, he got the call that Jerry’s freighter exploded with him on it. The week ended with him warning Kate that she needs to dump Sonny once and for all and be free of the Sonny/Carly marathon.
I can almost Liason fans’ eyes skipping through all this text in order to find out what happened with Jason and Liz this week! Well, let me say this. Plenty! After Jason and Sam rushed back to his penthouse soggy from the harbor, Maxie found them and couldn’t wait to mislead Liz into thinking something was up with them. When Liz rushed over to the penthouse to get some answers, Sam left. Liz and Jason decided to put fear aside and let their love dictate their future. She rushed home to make dinner and he promised to show up. Of course, that’s the night that the mob war broke out and he couldn’t make it. Liz was furious.
As for Sam, she went home and found Lucky waiting for her. They kissed and made up and planned on going forward together.
Robin, Emma and Patrick had a trying week, finally Robin’s blood started to clot and she marveled at how well Patrick was tending to their daughter while she was sick. She and Emma were released and they made their way home.
Whatever happened to Laura you ask? Again, plenty! The Spencer clan returned to Port Chuck and gathered at Laura’s house. Lesley greeted them with tears and big hugs. Laura told her family that there would be no more lies and they all agreed. For their part, Liz and Lucky told her about Jake’s paternity and Laura was proud of their honesty. She told Luke that she believed that their bond was still as strong as ever, but she needed to move on with her life as he has done with Tracy. He was saddened to hear it and asked her to call if she needed him. Laura vowed to try like hell not to need him. She went off to France to continue therapy in hopes that she could secure a sound future for herself. What she didn’t know as the private plane that Nik provided took off was that Scott was on board, too. Hmmm. What soap fan doesn’t love a wide open exit?
