Former Days Star Billy Hufsey in New Reality TV Series!
Former Days star is ready to make his confession.
From 1988 to 1990, Billy Hufsey played Emilio Ramirez on Days of Our Lives. Viewers watched him turn from a gang member to a Kiriakis grounds keeper. Like all soap grounds keepers, he really had a way with the ladies. He had affairs with Adrienne Kiriakis, Jennifer Horton and Melissa Jannings during his stint in Salem. But the heartthrob had a darker side too, cutting the brakes on Justin Kiriakis’ car and being violent with Melissa. The character left the canvas when Melissa pushed him to fall to his death during a struggle.
In 2009, Hufsey will be reliving his days on Days, as well as the years he spent on classic 80′s TV show, “Fame,” when he takes part in the new reality show, “Confessions of a Teen Idol.” He will join six other former teen idols from the 80′s and 90′s as they live together while they recall their past. It won’t all be nostalgia though. They’ll also be receiving mentoring from a life coach and think about career comebacks. Other participants will include Adrian Zmed (“T.J. Hooker”), Christopher Atkins (“The Blue Lagoon”), David Chokachi (“Baywatch”), Jamie Walters (“Beverly Hills 90210″), Eric Nies (“The Grind”) and Jeremy Jackson (“Baywatch”).
Since leaving Daytime, Hufsey has focused on his lifelong side business — buying, building up and selling mortgage, investment and limousine companies. He hopes that this reality show will help jump start a recording career. This winter, he will be releasing a CD called, “Confessions.”
“Confessions of a Teen Idol” is executive produced and hosted by a few more former teen idols. Scott Baio (“Happy Days”) and Jason Hervey (“The Wonder Years”) will be sharing hosting duties for the series. It will premier on VH1 on January 4.
