This week, the year winds down and Days of Our Lives plans plenty of action.
With the holidays, comes heightened emotion, and this time it looks like plenty of coupling as well. Who will be dipping into the eggnog together and who will be stuck under the mistletoe? Could it be Max and Chelsea? Philip and Stephanie? Dr. Dan and Chloe? And will Nicole finally get what she’s looking for from EJ?
Losing one’s twin sister is bound to dramatically affect a person, so while Steffy grieves the loss of Phoebe on The Bold and the Beautiful, we have the sneaking suspicion she just might come out the other side a changed person. 2009 is already shaping up to be an excellent year! Fans of B&B and “The Soup” on E! are in for a treat, as Kyle Lowder (Rick) and Ronn Moss (Ridge) will visit the cable show on January 2.
Regular viewers already know that “The Soup” host, Joel McHale, loves to mock The Bold and the Beautiful and Ridge’s repeated use of Rick’s name has been a favorite target, as seen in this video clip.

Jason’s week start out pretty interestingly when the federal agent shows up at his door offering to wipe his legal slate clean in exchange for dirt on Sonny. Diane urged Jason to do it, but he didn’t seem convinced. Later, he went to see Sonny but ended up seeing Claudia instead. She informed him that her husband withheld any action while Jake was in custody, but now he’s ready to go after any and all enemies. Jason made a hasty retreat.
Sam and Lucky argued when she informed him that she had no intention of giving up her pursuit of the Russian mob. She went off to see what dirt she could dig up, but Sasha and her goons apprehended her instead. While trying to flee, Sam fell into a deep pit and injured her hip. On The Bold and the Beautiful, Thorne paid two models who look like Owen and Donna to make Eric think Donna was cheating on him. He thought his scheme worked when Eric dumped Donna and chose Stephanie, however, Owen caught on and spilled all to Eric.
Phoebe’s funeral got underway and Steffy, Eric, Stephanie, Ridge and Taylor all got up to speak about her through their tears. While Phoebe’s song played, Rick walked in and disrupted the service. Dr. Daniel Jonas continues to be one of the most mysterious characters on Days of Our Lives.
After he made a cringe-worthy pass at Chloe the other day, even fans of the character have been scratching their heads. He seems to become smitten with a new woman every few weeks, but it’s far from an equal opportunity thing. Even with all of the nurses flirting with him, he only has eyes for women he’s performing surgery on. We’ve never seen anything quite like this before, but is this really what’s at work?
