It’s a General Hospital Makeover!

If only that nurses’ station could talk, eh?

The forty-five year old piece of juicy, dramatic, oft scandalous history is about to be blown to bits as part of the current bio toxin story line. In fact, the entire interior of the hospital is set to go the way of an old Warner Brothers TNT explosion.

After a generous donation from the Quartermaine family, Port Charles will boast a modern-looking hospital. Behind the scenes, a new nurses’ station, elevator, staircase, ER and patient room will provide a variety of new usable space for the soap’s crew to work with.

Jill Farren Phelps, General Hospital Executive Producer, explains, “It felt like the right time to update. This story really became an opportunity to take a shot at revising the look of the hospital and refreshing it. It will have a very different look.”

Hey, I’m all for something new to help bring the stories back to the hospital instead of the waterfront where the mobsters lurk. Look for the new sets to debut in April.

Looking forward to see it come into a new century. Most Nurses stations are high tech and GH needs to look like them. Wonder if NBC will sell ABC all their sets from ER?? :D
