After Lucas learns of Chloe’s torrid affair with Daniel, he’s ready to put the doctor in the hospital, or the morgue. Pretty soon, he shows up at their love nest banging on the door until an explosion stops his raging. What happened?

(What does that really mean anyway?) Anyhow, for most, the catastrophe at General Hospital has come to a conclusion at this point. But it was no easy task! Here’s how it the week unfolded:
After grappling over what to do with the remaining three toxin spheres in the operation room, Spinelli and Winifred leave it to the feds to handle. The resulting explosion, however, made things much worse for everyone in the hospital.
Trevor revealed himself as the person who stole the missing sphere. He told everyone he came across that it was his insurance policy to get himself and Johnny off the hook from any wrongdoing in the Zacchara organization. He also used it to try to get Kate to leave with him and spend their lives together. She pretty much spit in his face, so he took off through the smoky hallways. He runs into Ric, who has been out looking for him. Any hopes that Ric may have had of reconciling with his dear old daddy were pretty much dashed when Trevor told him that they’ll probably never see each other again and he didn’t care! He went up to the roof to secure a spot on the rescue chopper, but Sam followed him up there. They argued over the toxin and Trevor tossed it around trying to scare her. When it became clear that the chopper wasn’t going to come back for them, Trevor played one final game of chicken. He tossed the toxin over the edge and Sam lunged for it. Brady strolls into Titan looking for Melanie. He asks Steph if she’s seen her. Philip walks in and tells them both that he fired her. Brady thinks he’s insane for firing the person who could make them millions. Philip explains why he fired her but Brady is sure that he must have ‘pissed her off’. “You went bungee jumping without a rope,” Brady suggests. Philip smirks and they bicker until he gets a call from Nicole and leaves. Philip turns to Steph and asks if he should take her off his speed dial after she dumped him last night. She’s scared of this new side of him. He refuses to be a mild-manner, unambitious person. She wants to like him for who he is and accuses him of pretending to be someone else so she would fall in love with him. He laughs and tells her that she fell in love with the ‘bad’ him and really doesn’t want him to change. She claims to want a kind and sensitive man. Philip thinks she’s delusional and has a huge ego; the good girl thing is all an act. She gets angry but he breathes deep. “It’s insane that you think you know me better than I know me!” she shouts. While it wasn’t the most eventful week, it managed to be more amusing than not. Victor received some precious air time and used it for his usual charming string of nasty quips. Hope, still irate about shooting her sister-in-law, left Bo so she can go clear her head. Kayla, who was obviously pumped full of morphine, spent an episode teasing Daniel about his romantic life. He had his hands full. Chloe dumped Lucas, claiming that he is too good for her but not elaborating. He was, understandably, at a loss. His mother showed up to berate him, assuming this is all his fault. She has romantic problems of her own. Aside from lingering feels for Dr. Dan, she also has Stefano still sniffing around her. He even showed up at Chez Rouge dressed as one of The Hives and asked her out. Meanwhile, Brady gave his ex-wife a little comforting. Chloe pondered whether you have to be stupid to be happy. It doesn’t seem to help in Salem. She asked Daniel to run away with her but he refused to budge, basically insisting that her breakup with Lucas has to be her decision and refusing any responsibility of his own.
While Brooke yelled at Rick for being with Steffy, Ridge entered the house and overheard. He became enraged and went after Rick, but Brooke stopped him long enough for Rick to run from the house. Rick got in his car and found Steffy, who had come from Stephanie and Taylor pressuring her into ending things with Rick. Ridge and Brooke ran outside and saw Steffy in the car and Ridge decided to take off after them. Brooke jumped in Ridge’s car and a high-speed pursuit ensued. Rick lost control of the car and Ridge panicked, but Steffy and Rick were fine. Ridge ran to his daughter and demanded that Rick get out of the car, but Brooke urged her son to drive away, which he did. Read the rest of this entry »
The great Sami-EJ-Nicole-Rafe quadrangle refuses to abate.
Now that there are more kids floating in this square plot, things are sure to get even more complicated. Alot of things have changed since Sami left Salem for the safe house and the convent. Of course, she won’t be the only one returning to town. With Will coming back and chaos with Chloe and Lucas, Lumi fans may be hoping for a reunion of the perpetually dysfunctional supercouple.
