Michael!

The week started calmly enough for the extended Corinthos family. Carly was still down in South Carolina and Michael’s surgery was set for next month. Suddenly Patrick noticed some of his levels dropping and declared that if surgery didn’t take place within a few hours it wouldn’t be worth attempting. Dr. Hanson strongly disagreed but she had to rush off to Europe to be with her sick mother. Jax wanted to wait for her to return and Sonny agreed. Jason struggled with what to tell Carly, but as soon as she returned he laid it all on her. She sided with Patrick and the surgery began. Jax, Carly, Claudia, Sonny and Jason all waited together, but it wasn’t pretty.

Rebecca and Nikolas talked through their respective dalliances with others and came to the conclusion that they’d like to see each other. She asked him to help her paint her room above Kelly’s and they had fun in the process. Alexis found proof that Rebecca had spent some time in Greece and she assumed that was proof that Helena was involved. Nikolas said even if that were true, he wouldn’t care at that point.

Liz nursed her hangover by talking with Lucky about old times. They agreed to give their relationship another try.

Maxie’s chance of redeeming herself to Spinelli seemed slim until she had a real crisis to solve. There was a leak at Crimson and the competition had published one of their spreads! Kate threatened both Maxi and Lulu’s jobs if Spinelli couldn’t figure it out in 24 hours. While Spinelli worked with her on finding the leak, they kissed.

Claudia had a close call with her pregnancy and had no choice but to let Ric take her to the hospital. In the end, she and her baby were deemed fine.

Luke, Tracy and Ethan faced the music at GH and found absolutely no DNA markers that would link Luke to Ethan. Luke was disappointed, but Ethan seemed relieved and asked for his old job back. Later, Luke asked Lulu to cozy up to Ethan in front of Tracy to prove a theory that he had. Lulu didn’t seem to mind. Before long, Tracy walked onto The Haunted Star and found them in a lip lock.

Back in the waiting room, Jax asked Claudia to leave in order to keep the room peaceful for Carly. When Jason laid into Claudia, too, Sonny assumed that meant that he found proof that she was involved in his son’s shooting. When Carly walked into the room everyone grew very quiet.

Patrick and his surgical team (including Matt and Liz) were working away on Michael’s brain and getting ready to implant the first electronical device when he coded.
