General Hospital Weekly Summary From May 11-15.
Carly hoped, Claudia worried, Jason opened up, Jax worried, Luke panicked and Spinelli made a shocking discovery.
As Patrick battled to save Michael after his heart stops beating, his family were left wondering if they should ask him to stop the difficult surgery. After Claudia prodding Sonny to take charge, Jason yelling and Jax grousing, Carly was left to decide her son’s fate and allowed Patrick to continue. Going out for some air, Jason reached out to Sam about all of the turmoil. Finally, Patrick informed everyone that Michael made it through the operation, but the results were still uncertain. Carly clung to every hope that he’d regain consciousness, though Patrick didn’t seem optimistic. That didn’t stop her from ordering her son’s new rooms prepared. Sensing how bleak things seemed, Jax started to worry that Carly was in denial and about to make things worse. Increasingly frayed, she suffered a violent emotional outburst before falling into Jax’s arms. By the end of the week, however, Michael opened his eyes when Lulu went to see him.
Claudia spent most of the week being edgy and miserable at the hospital. No one was in the mood to make her feel better either, least of all Ric who reminded her, numerous times, that he’ll be staking his claim if the baby is his. Sonny also got on her back and blankly asked her if she had anything to do with Michael’s shooting. She kept her secret and Jason wasn’t opening his mouth either, especially when Sonny explained that he’s trying to trip her up. Finally, Jason told her that he knows what went down. Before they could concoct a cover, Sonny found them together.
Although Alexis is confident that Rebecca is up to no good, Nikolas still defends Rebecca to her. She’s sure this is because he’s infatuated with her; even members of the hospital’s staff start to murmur the thought. Of course, he is. He makes a date with Rebecca at the Metro Court. He offered her dinner or bed. Guess which she chose? Unfortunately, in their passion, they neglected to close the door properly and Alexis walked in on them.
Luke’s mind worked hard to carefully decipher Tracy’s overreaction to Lulu getting cuddly with Ethan. While she insists she just wants to protect poor Lulu’s heart, Luke suspects there’s more. There certainly is, but not between Lulu and Ethan. She made it clear to him that they are just conning Tracy, though they weren’t entirely sure why. Possibly adding to the web of deceptions, Luke got a worrying call from Holly in Singapore. After she was mysteriously cut off, Tracy didn’t miss a beat in declaring this was another of her manipulations. Luke loaded up for Singapore anyway and Ethan tagged along. Confident that this is a scam, Tracy had her jet fueled up and went after them. As soon as they got there, they wound up in a dive and continued to bicker about the results of Ethan’s DNA tests. They all head back to Port Charles slightly depressed. When Luke gets back to the Haunted Star, he’s startled to find Holly walking in, wanting to talk about their ‘blessed event’.
Maxie and Spinelli took a break from their make out session to try and catch the culprit guilty of sabotage at the magazine. A night chase demonstrated Spinelli’s woeful inability to tale a car. With Maxie taking over at the wheel, they tracked their suspect all the way back to the office at Crimson. The next day, still with no one in custody, Kate fired Lulu and Maxie. But they received a quick reprieve when Spinelli unveiled what the security camera captured. Kate pinned the blame on one of her minions. Lulu and Maxie giggled joyfully until a further examination of the evidence revealed that Kate Howard, ‘the glacial one herself’ was the one who purloined the portfolio.
