Melanie mopes through the mob war.

Mel and Max complain about how much their father sucked and then she vows to stop whining. Seeking to spread her sunny personality around, she heads over to the Kiriakis mansion where Philip has been passing out after consuming lemonade that Owen has drugged. Stephanie worries and Philip becomes sour and annoyed. Having Melanie show up probably doesn’t help. She’s sad to hear about the engagement and mopes off to her only friend, Brady. “Stephanie doesn’t accept what Phillip does, and she never will,” Mel claims. But it’s not all about her problems. She finds out that Brady is a recovering addict. Meanwhile, even Philip and Stephanie are starting to wonder if their engagement is as grand an idea as it sounded. “Maybe you shouldn’t marry me,” Phillip suggests.”Maybe I shouldn’t,” Steph wonders. Canadian and veteran soap actor Gordon Thomson will be arriving in Salem soon.

Soaps fans will recognize him as a familiar face on Primetime and Daytime.
