Robert LaSardo will be etched into the minds of GH viewers as Father Mateo Ruiz and Manny Ruiz, but the actor has been busy since leaving the chaos of Port Charles behind him.

LaSardo recently completed work on the movie “Double Tap.” It follows a detective seeking solace in a bottle of Vicodin and dose of revenge after his wife is killed. While that movie is still in post-production, it’s sequel, “Double Tap: Rewind,” is currently being shot.

You can also catch LaSardo as Maurice Keenan in the recently completed documentary, “Uncle Bob.” It chronicles the life of Robert Opel, the man who streaked the Academy Awards before being subsequently murdered in 1979. But you can still catch him on TV in the next season when he returns to the FX series “Nip/Tuck” as Escobar Gallardo sometime in 2010.
