Days of Our Lives Spoilers For July 16-17.
Hope and Bo throw a birthday party for Ciara but things are destined to become less festive.
That applies for some of Salem’s other residents as well. Philip still hasn’t given up hope that he can win Stephanie back. “I can’t lose her. I can’t,” he tells Brady. All the while, the case against a recoupling of the broken couple is being made. “Even if you’re madly in love with someone, if you don’t believe in the same things, it’s just not gonna work,” Stephanie explains to meddling Melanie. The nurse-to-be also gets some advice from Nathan. He tells Melanie that, “If you don’t have that same passion I suggest you find another career.” They aren’t the only people looking for some romantic advice though. Brady turns to Victor of all people to talk about his problems with Arianna. What’s Victor’s sage advice? “The woman is a damn fool. To hell with her!” he says.
Recovering from her latest flirtation with death, Chloe pleads with Lexi to keep Daniel away from her. The good doctor has something to tell Lexi himself. “I need to give you something… my letter of resignation,” he informs her. While she wonders what’s gone wrong with Salem’s star surgeon, Maggie continues to wonder what is going on between Daniel and Chloe. The diva tosses and turns deliriously, still trying to convince herself that she loves Lucas.
In the equally implausible category, Sami wants to call a truce with Nicole. She may not be able to go through with it though. “There is something going on with you,” Sami suggests. Although Nicole insists that there is nothing going on, Sami remains unconvinced. “You’re lying… and I know why,” Sami claims. Meanwhile, both women may have something to fear after Stefano tells Nicole that he has set his newest plan in motion.

Phillip….GIVE IT UP. Stephanie has finally dumped your ass for the LAST TIME..move on with Melanie, or whoever wants to put up with your demanding bullcrap.
It’s too bad Chloe doesn’t get a clue as to WHO is really behind her poisoning…gee, wouldn’t ya think if mom-in-law KNOWS THE TRUTH about your affair with Daniel, you would start wondering WHY Kate keeps putting the two of you together??? duh…duh…!!

Maybe I missed something, but why is Nathan’s last name Horton? Isn’t he Melissa’s son? Didn’t she marry Pete Jannings? And her last name was Anderson…….

Chloe and Daniel need to just run off together. That whole storyline is getting ludicrous. Kate with the whole Snow White evil queen thing she has going on… We all know full well she won’t pay for what she has done - even after everyone finds out it is her. They need to find some new tricks for that old dog.
I never liked Nicole’s character, but an unholy alliance with Sami has potential which could be taken in so many different directions. The possibilities are almost endless.
Please bring Mickey back so Maggs will quit meddling in everyone’s life. I love Maggie, and wish the writers would give her a real storyline.
Don’t like Arianna - I just can’t warm to her at all, and I don’t like her with Brady. Brady is too hot and life is too short.
If the writers are trying to make Mel grow up, they need to get her to dump the whiny 10-year-old voice. Cat’s nails on a blackboard. Put her with Phil and put Steph out of her misery. I liked the spitfire racecar-driving Steph. That one wasn’t quite as dumb.
I can’t make up my mind who I like Sami with best. I love Rafe, but I also love the way EJ was with Sami. EJ has just turned into a screaming, vengeful, manic weirdo with Nicole. It seems like Sami was the only thing that ever made him happy - in a warped kind of way.
I also hope they put that whole Will/Mia/Chad/Teenagers-in-general story on the backburner this fall. Adults aren’t all that interested in teen love/angst. As for Will - he is a tiny little Lucas, and he certainly wouldn’t talk to me that way if I were his mother.

—#2.anoldfan……..the writers brought nathan on for no reason what so ever..except to drive the long time fans up the wall..[smirk]..he never was a member of horton clan..just dreamed up one day..melissa had no children that i can recall of…the reason they brought him to the show was because of fan complaints about lack of family values on the show.. he is thier answer to that…lol……..the reason that so many horton’s have left the show is because..they are to nice../ie: boring..

today’s show “thursday” is focusing on ciara’s birthday…[big snooze] why is writing this show seem so hard to writers..first bo and his visions, then hiding a teddybear..like thats going to work..hahaha now a man with “BLUE EYES”.. like this matters..how.?…when is it going to get better..also those eyes look familar to me..i’ve seen them somewhere else..wonder where…patrick lockheart maybe…

I am getting so bored with Nicole and her antics, when is Dodo EJ going to wise up? And I hope the writers aren’t going to put Ciara in harm’s way. Why not let evil Nicole get kidnapped by some weirdo? She needs to have some serious karma overwhelm her!

Thanks for clearing that up….Maggie threw something in the other day about “Your mother was pregnant with you”..blah blah..I don’t remember a child either.
IMO this Kate/Chloe thing is just too boring–and stupid! Get it over with already.

–the best thing about the poison plot is Daniel will finally open his eyes to that twit Chloe…she won’t believe he’s innocent.?!..he’ll drop her like a hot potato..hahaha..just what she deserves..imo…kate is about to feel Victor’s rath and vengence…yeah.!!!!!!!..she is so going to run to Stefeno for help…it might have just got watchable..lol

I agree anoldfan…..Kate and Chloe thing is getting a little to much for me too…..Kate needs to eat the tainted food and get caught in her own devilish ways! LOL…now THAT would be something to see!! Enough is enough and Chloe is dumber than ever!

Didn’t Nathan explain why his last name was Horton? If I recall a week or so ago he was explaining that he really wasn’t a Horton but took the family name either in Honor of the Horton’s or his mother? I might be wrong on this my memory isn’t so good.

If Maggie and Mickey adopted Melissa, maybe Nathan kept his mothers maiden name. Just a guess!

Yes Betty Boop, I heard the same thing. It was last week sometime. Nathan choose the Horton name in honor to his grandfather Tom.(or something like that…)
I wish they had picked a better actor- So far for me everything going on right now is very boaring! But I’ve been watching for so long I guess I just have to put up with it:(

i think that chad and wil need to clean up their act and either get a hair cut or at least comb it right. love Mia pretty young lady would like to see her find happiness but not with wil or chad. please please please get rid of Kate soon!!!!!! where is mickey? they do not even mention him any more. miss Marlena but not John

Hey Days of Our Lives Fans,
No one on the show makes me laugh. Way too much drama, anger and sadness. Lighten up a bit. Bring back Jack and Jen. What a funny couple or Sami and Lucas. What we need is electrifying chemistry between people: love, romance, humor and kindness. Nicole and EJ are way too serious. Mia and Will are so cute together however give them some funny lines. Then Mia will stop mumbling her silly current lines. Please keep sweet Mia since she is adorable. I tape the show and fast forward during EJ’s and Nicole’s scenes. They are way too boring together. They could be very funny. Romance is great, however you also need some humor. Kate and Nichole need to share a jail cell. Now that could be funny! How about bringing to Salem a nice normal gay couple with kids who are as respected the same way as Alice Horton. A gay police man married to a gay doctor. Good story line. Let fans see how gay people can contribute to society. I am not gay, just a supporter of the underdog.
Come on writers make us laugh and step up to plate and hit a home run! You can do it! Go Days Go! Change your ratings from third place to number 1. I have been a fan for 25 years. Step up to the plate and hit the humorous dialogue out of the ball park.
Do the writers actually read this? Probably not! Oh well, I guess I need to use my time more productively. Take care fans!
