Days of Our Lives Spoilers for July 9-10.
Poker, paranoia and indecent proposals.
Brady, Arianna, Melanie and Nathan settle into a summer mood and use the tranquil setting of the Horton cabin for a game of strip poker. When they get back to land, the fun continues as Brady and Nathan take the women out to dinner. Things aren’t going as well as Mel, and maybe Brady hoped, however. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is gonna work,” Arianna tells Brady. Meanwhile, things aren’t going well on the romantic front for Will either. His burgeoning relationship with Mia gets a bit awkward when Chad tells him that he and Mia used to date. “Why don’t you just leave her the hell alone, jerk?” Will yells at Chad.
Across town, Philip does all that he can to try and win back his mentally frayed former fiancee. Even curmudgeon par excellence, Victor, wants Steph to make up with his mopey son. Unfortunately, she’s still far from convinced that this is a good idea. “Just let me go. Just say goodbye,” she says. As she tries to escape from the life she’s leaving behind, she bumps into Nathan.
Meanwhile, EJ is irate to see Nicole’s empathy for Samanther growing. “You understand why she didn’t tell me about Grace until after she was dead, do you?” he berates her. Nicole finds something else to worry about when she learns that Stephanie and Philip’s relationship seems to have kicked the bucket. If Stephanie is no longer one of the Kiriakis clan, does that mean that she could cause problems because of the kidnapping fiasco? Trying to put out more fires, Nicole tries to convince Elvis to work things out with Sami. “EJ, is that what you want? Is that what you want for your son?” she asks him goading him to a less bitter attitude.

Sorry fans I’m pretty disappointed with Day’s. Feels like it turned into the saved by the bell show with all this young drama. Sure hope they start getting some better storylines or I’m sure they are going to start losing longtime viewers like myself.

I saw a headline on one of the Soap Opera magazines in the grocery store the other day, and said DAYS was in process of cancellation. NO WONDER!! I’d be cancelling too if I couldn’t come up with any better storylines that THIS!!

I can’t understand how Chole and Lucus, etc could just come and go at the cabin and now its back to being on an island with no ferry till evening… guess its just fits the story better but it still bugs me…

It seems like the Days writers are trying, but when things are just starting to get good, they write it all wrong. They really need to get couples to stay together longer than what they have been. We need to see more romance, love and something good going on sometimes too. EJ really needs to become a good guy again so him and Sami can get back together. I do not see many sparks between her and Rafe. (I think Nicole could bring those sparks out). And EJ needs to become aware of the fact that his father is still a creep and is lying to him as usual.

This show has been heading for the toilet ever since Ted Corday got rid of John and Marlena, and Kayla and Steve…you just DON’T treat vets that way, and snub your fans with comments such as “that was then, this is now” and if you want to see the vets, go to the lucheons?????? This man needs a SERIOUS RUDE AWAKENING…maybe cancellation is the best way..the show as it stands, has NOTHING to do with the “family of the Horton’s” anymore, just a lot of newbies no one’s invested in. The vets MADE THE SHOW. The writing is sub-par with no plots or quick endings. You get what you pay for, and this show is sorry-azzed at best lately.

I have watched Days for over 20 years. Since the departure of the vets i have watched less and less. I would be sad if it was cancelled but it just might be the best thing for the ahow.

Yes. I tend to agree. This is getting dumber by the minute. Bed hoping and true charactors were never days writing. I don’t know what happened in the show. I remember the good old days. I don’t think the show should be cancelled I think they should fire the writers. You get what you pay for, they could use their salary to get better actors.
As for the Horton’s, the family was not large enough to support the entire show.

—-i truely believe that the best thing for the show would be to make Rafe’s character a bad sneaky person, with motives based on some sort of revenge plot line….against elvis also sami because of who her dad roman is…and what roman might have done to a member of the hernandez’s family,[while exscaping the prison that stefeno had him stuck in]…also he would want revenge on the family kiriakis. because they are his and arianna’s bio-logical family…victor didn’t claim them as infants when they were born..after thier parents died so mysteriously in GREECE..this is a watchable story idea….i hope the writers are paying attention..the fans would definitly jump on this kind of creative storyline…this is what we like….complicated and mysterious, stories over lapping and looping through each other..this is good drama we can care about.. you the writers want “GALEN aka rafe” on the show so bad..fine…just give him a new character to play, not same old same old./luis…….this is DAYS of OUR LIVES not passions.

Number 11, I disagree. I like Rafe being a nice guy, making him a bad guy will mean bye bye to him. I dont want him to go. I do hope they beef up his character. I dont want him being JUST Sami’s toy. I would like his life to be a complicated one. Rafe was former FBI, he is not a jail bird. There is a possibility he hates EJ. Maybe EJ was his late wife’s BF and maybe he thinks EJ killed him. He might be using Sami to get back at EJ or maybe his wife was killed accidently by Roman or Bo. I doubt it. Rafe is not the problem, it’s all of the young people with no families, no storyline that makes sense. Send Will back to Europe, get rid of his girlfriend, Chad, Melanie and even boring Stephanie is a waste. I can deal with Chloe, Dan and the Maggie’s nephew. They just need to find money from somewhere and bring back Marlena and John. If they are going to keep Melanie, bring back Steve and Kayla.

Ok? That whole Rafe thing doesn’t make sense . The writers are obvioulsy going to make Emily’s be involved with Rafe’s FBI career. But you never know iwht this show anymore .
Oh and why did the writers completely take out like John , Marlena , Kayla and John ?
