Failed ploys and upset plans in Port Charles.

Following the latest shootout, Jason is brought in for questioning. Diane tries to convince him to stay behind bars for a little while so Alexis can garner a bit of positive publicity in the midst of her scandal. It doesn’t look like it’s going to pay off though. Diane warns Alexis that the emails she allegedly sent to Mayor Floyd have been made public. Alexis is promptly suspended from her job as D.A. When Jason finally makes his way out of police custody, he receives a mysterious phone call.

While Diane’s ploy and Jason’s mystery message may have middling results, the same shouldn’t be true for Dominic’s newest tactic. Since he failed to get into Sonny’s organization through his friends and family, he walks right into Sonny’s place while Carly is there to identify him. Will this dangerous scheme blow up in his face? And what does this have to do with Olivia? Whatever it does, it seems to be making Johnny uneasy since he suspects that she still has more than friendly feelings for Sonny.

It’s not all mob battles and political maneuvering though. Spinelli uses technology to assist in his romantic escapade. He tries his best not to reveal to Maxie that he’s using a pitch correction microphone for his voice. The Jackal even tells her that his love for her is so potent it can make even him sing better. His plan starts to fumble when he accidentally drops the voice correcting device into a pitcher of beer. Will he be able to think fast enough to find a solution as Maxie pushes him onto the stage at Jake’s Karaoke Night?

Maxie won’t be the only ones on hand to witness this special event. Lulu convinces new found half-siblings Lucky and Ethan together for the evening’s entertainment. Ethan isn’t in the mood to party. The grumpy Aussie is annoyed to discover that Rebecca is moving in with Nikolas. Fearing their plot and their passion for each other has gone south, he starts to demand that she get some cash out of Prince Nikolas quick or he’ll air her dirty laundry in public. Rebecca takes Nikolas to Jake’s for the evening of song and they bump into Ethan, Lucky, Lulu and Elizabeth. Ethan becomes livid when he learns that Rebecca has backed away from taking money from her prince.
