FX’s Californication Hires General Hospital’s Rick Springfield! (Updated)
First David Duchovny, now Rick Springfield. This is one HOT show. Everyone who allows themselves the guilty pleasure (hedonistically true on both counts) of watching David Duchovny’s twisted character Hank Moody try to get his act together on FX’s “Californication” is likely already hooked. But the General Hospital fan who hasn’t yet delved into the delicious darkness might want to do so when the 3rd season rolls around next fall. Rick Springfield will appear as himself. Apparently the show was looking for an 80’s icon who has slipped from the limelight to come on as himself. Another delicious tidbit, a pretty big part of the “Californiation” allure is its sexual situations. Dare we hope to see a bit more of Dr. Noah? Comments, please! Updated: September 16 Rick will be making his first appearance on the Showtime series on October 11. His character is an over the top, down and out former celebrity.
