Former Days of Our Lives Star Mary Beth Evans in Hybrid Magazine. (Updated)
Mary Beth Evans is proving that there is life beyond playing Days‘ Kayla Johnson and making pies.
Although those were both pretty exciting, the actress has just expanded her resume by writing an article called “Easy Entertaining” for the spring edition of Hybrid Mom Magazine. Her piece details the work involved in entertaining friends and family and offers hints and help on how to make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.
“Getting friends together for an intimate gathering of great food, wine and conversation has been one of the highlights of my life. It should be an enjoyable time for everyone, including me (the hostess, chef and cleanup crew) but that wasn’t always the case. In the past I’d bring out the latest issues of my favorite cooking magazines, shop for countless ingredients and proceed to spend the entire day in the kitchen.” Pique your interest? If you want to read more of what Mary Beth has to say, please visit the article here, under the ‘easy entertainment’ section.
If you’d rather have it in hard copy, you can always swing by your local Barnes & Noble or your favorite book store and pick up a copy of the magazine.

Mary Beth blogs from Italy!
“Friday morning brought another scorcher. Italy in August is a hot one! That is why so many of the locals go elsewhere this time of year but we were committed to seeing as much as we could, so we headed out.
We had planned to go to the Farmers market, before catching an afternoon train to Rome. This was something I was really looking forward to. The wonderful thing about Florence is you can walk to everything.”

Mary Beth is now in Rome and dishing about her time in the Eternal City.
“We started our first full day in Rome with the customary “included breakfast”. The Locarno hotel had a beautiful spread with meats, cheeses, eggs and all the rest. We were seriously on our way to gaining some weight, but enjoying the decadence of these delicious feasts.”
