It’s October and a few plots are already pointing to the fabled time of November sweeps.

Things are rapidly falling apart for Claudia and Dominic, though for different reasons. Luke and Helena are back and they bring the promise of a new threat to both of their families. Claudia gets desperate, Dante’s mission is compromised and the Cassadines face a new threat.

Sonny was disturbed when Dominic seemed reluctant to kill the guy he fingered as a rat. After some debate, Dominic finally agreed to do it to prove his loyalty and took the rat to the woods. Before he could shoot him, he offered to save him by handing him over to the witness protection program. After some debate, the rat agreed and Dominic released him into custody before Jason arrived. He brought Dominic back to Sonny to explain the situation. Sonny was ready to banish him from the organization for failing to kill the rat but Jason stood up for him. Read the rest of this entry »

The takeover continues.

After Stephanie displayed more symptoms of her illness in front of Taylor, Steffy felt forced to tell her mother Stephanie had a stroke. Taylor checked Stephanie out and urged her to seek treatment and to let her family help her. Stephanie didn’t want to be pitied or to be Taylor’s patient and Taylor promised she would be there for her as her friend.

Bill and Katie continued to argue with Donna, Brooke, Ridge and Eric about the takeover. Alone with Bill, Katie made it clear that as CEO she would run the company on her terms and would be loyal to both him and her family. Bill was impressed that she wasn’t intimidated by him and told her she was the bright spot in his future.

Nick confessed to Phyllis, Victor received Colleen’s heart, and everyone struggled over what to do with the stolen painting…

Nick admitted to Phyllis that Sharon’s baby was his, and had died, and Phyllis was very sympathetic and found out from Jack that Sharon kept the baby’s paternity a secret because Summer needed him. After Sharon was released, Phyllis visited her and apologized for misjudging Sharon’s motives then said if she could ever return the favor she would. Adam befriended a grieving Sharon, and when she hadn’t heard from the funeral home about her baby’s ashes, Adam stole some and had them sent to her then broke down at the thought of all of his recent actions.

Jack informed Victor of Traci’s struggle to grant him Colleen’s heart, who admitted though they should let him die, Victor hoped to live for Colleen’s sake. At Adam’s persistence Ashley brought Faith to see Victor then Colleen’s family and friends said their goodbyes before everyone gathered to watch Victor and Colleen being taken away for the transplant, which was a success.

Although viewers of General Hospital know Carolyn Hennesy best as Diane, they will soon have the chance to see her in a new role.

“Cougar Town” has been picked up for a full season by ABC. Max and Diane fans need not worry though. Caroline and Derk Cheetwood (Max) have been shooting scenes again. The actor said on his Twitter page the other day, “Filmed with Carolyn yesterday, the scenes where [sic] great and fun of course, Mostly about where we’ve been and what’s been going on but…FUNNY!”

ABC has announced their fall line up and “Cougar Town,” will premiere on September 23 at 9:30 PM EST.

This fall, the talented actress will be taking a supporting role on the new ABC series “Cougar Town.” Here’s a video preview of the series. Be sure to watch until the end to catch a peak at Carolyn’s new character.

Soap Stars make good in film!

If you thought their dramatic roles in Daytime television are fantastic, wait until you see them in film! The Bold and the Beautiful’s Aaron D. Spears (Justin Barber) plays Ali while The Young and the Restless’ Stacy Haiduk (Mary Jane Benson/Patty Williams) portrays Lela, in this film by Craig Ross Jr. According to the Mannsfield 12 website, the film is about “a small group of men who understood that being good at what they did made them criminals…and standing up for whom they were, made them legends.” It sounds good! Feel free to watch the video trailer below. I’m sure it’ll intrigue you as it did me! You can view the film on television on the BET Network November 7, 2009, for those of you who missed the September show times at Los Angeles’ Downtown Independent Theater.

Madame CEO?

Much of this week was devoted to the issue of Katie being CEO of Forrester Creations on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Bill insists Katie is capable and she believes it, but the folks over at FC aren’t as convinced.
