I love any story line that encourages organ donation as my son is alive today because of a donor heart he received in 2002. However, the way the timeline of the donation has played out is very unrealistic, donations must occur within mere hours of the donor's death, not days. The organs will not stay viable for extended periods of time, thus the need for a quick decision on the family's part. Also organ donors are completely anonymous to their recipients and the donor family chooses how much contact & information they want to share with the recepient & families. Kudos to Y&R for encouraging organ donation, but please present the story accurately! Thank you to Peter Bergman for doing the PSA after Friday's show! Thank you Y&R for airing this storyline.
