Meeting your favorite actresses and actors is always a thrill, but we were thrilled when Days Fan Traci Jones got in touch with us to tell us all about her time at this year’s Day of Days event.
She wrote a report for us about the line-ups, meeting with the stars, the Q&A session and Brian Datillo taking off his shirt.
Here’s a snippet of the story:
“I immediately started making friends with the fans. Everyone was so excited and so friendly. It was definitely a party-like atmosphere. The place filled up pretty quickly and I had made the decision to sit at the end of the front row, rather than sit right in front because I wanted to be able to get away quickly soon after the stars came out so I could be sure to get a good spot in the line for my favorite actor on the show, James Scott (EJ). Some secrets are uncovered but a greater mystery looms.
Elizabeth begs Luke not to tell his son about her affair with Prince Nikolas. He’s not the only person she needs to worry about though. She’s unsettled when she learns that Nikolas knows Luke knows. He turns to Rebecca, and turns on his Cassadine coolness, when confesses that he doesn’t love her and has just been using her. Later, Nikolas and Elizabeth give in to their throbbing urges. There will be plenty for the fans and soap stars to do while on the four day excursion, including karaoke and of course the ship’s casino. I wondered if Laura would be found doing either of those activities. “I like to gamble; I’m pretty sure I’m not going to karaoke. The 2009 Hollywood Christmas Parade will include Daytime soap opera stars!
Presented by Coca-Cola, on Sunday November 29, at 6:00 PM, everyone will gather in Hollywood, California for the Hollywood Christmas Parade, which will be taped that night then aired nationally, twice, for a special Primetime event on MyNetworkTV on December 10, with an encore of the event to air on December 24 – Christmas Eve! Please be sure to check your local listings for air times.
Chad Brannon will return as Zander Smith for a single episode in December as part of Rebecca’s exit story.
Marsha Thomason will accompany James Franco when he arrives in Port Charles this November.
Laura Wright has tweeted that she just re-signed to stick around and play Carly for four more years.
James Franco shot his first scenes on October 30. Look for him to make his first appearance on November 20.

Bonnie Hunt will be welcoming special guest Amy Feldman of Levittown, NY to the set of her eponymous show on Thursday, November 12.
She will be dishing about her experience interviewing the cast of Days at the at the Day of Days event in Universal City, California. Amy was one of three finalists chosen to appear on “The Bonnie Hunt Show” to act in a ‘soap opera scene’ with Bonnie and Don Lake.
