Due to an emergency, as was stated by Melody’s agent, Melody regrettably had to pull out of her role on the new web series and was replaced by actress Sean Young in the role of Martha Alden.

The Young and the Restless actress Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman) will be appearing in the new web series “The Republic,” as a working mother, named Martha Alden! The web series surrounds the struggles and life of the Alden Family - and the country that appears to be collapsing around them.

Though filming will start next month, there’s no word on when the web series will premiere, but Soap Opera Fan Blog will keep our readers posted. Congrats to Melody!
