Days of Our Lives Spoilers For December 28-January 1.
As Salem recovers from Christmas and heads for the new year, some of its residents look forward to the future while others limp towards it.
Justin, who has managed to bridge the gap between being a lawyer and a marriage counselor, advises Hope to fight for her marriage. Is he being purely altruistic in his advice, or does he imagine that something else could come of this gentle prodding? Meanwhile, Vivian continues to plot Carly’s downfall. She’s taking the scenic route to revenge by going after her enemy’s child and she wastes no time filling Victor in on her gruesome plans.
Wanting to get her undercover operation over with so that she can finally concentrate on simply staying under the covers, Arianna attempts to push things ahead with Troy. As she probes her way into the recesses of Salem’s drug trade, EJ seems to have something else on his mind. Elvis sends Sami a text asking her to meet him in secret. What could he have in mind?
Across town, Lexi decides to give some advice to her promising young intern. She urges Nathan to make his feelings clear to the women in his life so he can pull himself out of Salem’s cycle of ruinous romances. He seems to take her advice, although he may have misunderstood it. Things go from bad to worse when he tells Philip how he really feels and the two men end up sharing a jail cell together.

Strange Days indeed. So what is Nathan supposed to be a mixture of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon? I don’t like all these new peoples on the show. Get rid of the annoying ones, Mia, Gabby, Chad, Stephanie etc.
Bo needs to get his noodle wet with some TLC (Tender Loving Carly) Hope can go with Justin because Justin has all the answers. Unfortunately he has no answer for his marriage. What a budinski. He needs to mind his own binezz.

Hope & Justin should just become one of Salem’s newest incestuous couples. I’m sick of both of them. Bo should be with Carly. I still can’t figure out why Philip proposed to Melanie who he’s known for 5 minutes and is only 18 years old? I give that marriage 5 minutes. Arianna & Brady are becoming Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald and Ethan Winthrop. Too much hanky panky, not enough drama for my taste. Love, Love, Love Vivian and Victor together. Oh please have them marry and make everybody in Salem miserable. Stefano needs to grow back his pair of balls. What happened to him? He used to rock being so evil and smart. Now he’s just a whipped pussycat in a sense.

i wish they would give ari and brady a better storyline. I hope mel doesnt go thru w/marryin phil i love her w/nath and steph can can have phil. nath needs to find out about steph messin his and mel’s date up. Its sad that theres so many storylines on days and this is the only interestin one. I’m over bo and hope, hope ur an idiot u left him so move on with carly bo. lets not forget about the o so annoyin mia, will, and chad they r BORING! love vivan and victor together, they make an evil pair..
just like stefano and kate, these two couples will butt heads before long..
hate hearing that bryan datillo (aka lucas) is leaving the show.. just another good character they are getting rid of..
kinsey, t, chad, mia, will and rafe’s younger sister,, these characters haven’t shown me much..
john, marlena, steve, kayla, max, chelsea now these are some characters that should have never been eliminated.. even belle and shawn.. what a waste in getting rid of all these..
and get sydney back with sami and rafe.. ej needs to find his own “new flame” not get back with sami..
this relationship between ari and brady needs to either get better or just dissolve (too much like their old roles on passions)..

I’m sooooooooooooo tired of all these beautiful, rich idiot women, without a care in the world, have all these men lined up as their “saviors”. Being 56, attractive, intelligent and very single, I would just ONCE love to “rescued”. But then, I’ve always been the strong one! Merry Christmas, politically incorrect or not. I agree!! The ONLY reason Days is still even on the air is they signed a deal til like september 2010, believe me, with the bone headed things they have done, like getting rid of the veteren actors, do they honestly think they are going to “DRAW” and new younger crowd? These people are idiots. As soon as the plug can be pulled on this show, the network WILL do it. And the powers that be deserve to loose their jobs over this.

I was wondering that, too, about the search for Sydney. The spoilers for next week don’t say anything about it, so does that mean she’ll be found this week? We could only hope for the end of this already….
Mel and Nathan all the way – can’t stand Steph or Philip, so yeah, put them together.
Bo and Carly should be together, but I have a feeling there’s going to be some twist with Dr. Dan.
Sami and EJ belong together, not sure who Rafe should end up with, but not Sami.
A Viv ‘n Vic vs. Kate ‘n Stephano showdown would be awesome and definitely keep me watching!

Am I the only one tired of “Princess” Hope? She is always jacking with Bo’s head and for once I would love to see him tell her he isn’t taking it from her anymore. Either come back or stay away. PICK ONE. How many times has she left him hanging already? Writers, knock her down a few pegs already, PLEASE!

First of all I loved reading the comments you’ve left. Below are my comments & opinions.
1) Surprised so many of you wrote pro Bo & Carly! Hello, Hope is A-mazing!! Carly isn’t that great of an actress either and I just love when Viv spars off with her. So witty and funny! Great writing team.
Rafe’s new younger sister… she needs to get in the same boat as Chad, Melanie, Kenzie, Mia and sail away on over to terminated contracts.
2) Love Viv & Vic together. Kate & Stefano… honestly upping the humor has been a great change for the show. 5stars!!
3) Can someone PLEASE bring Sydney home? Honestly, I can’t listen to another bright idea in regards to how to find Sydney. Do you ever notice how many times they say “Sydney” in one show? A-nnoying!
4) Nicole.. black wig?
5) Melanie… ugh
6) Pro Stephanie & Nathan!!
7) Can we have a hot gay character on Days? Look at AMC & ATWT… it’s 2010
9) When did the Java Cafe take over “dot com” Remember those days?
10) Why is Phillip always in a suit if he is never at Titan? Remember the days where we saw the office, or Austin working out at the Gym? Even Nicole had her own office.
11) Sad to hear Lucas is leaving. Potential drama exit?
12) Sad Gran… aka Alice Horton isn’t making her apperance. I love her!
13) EJ… love the accent. Gets me every time! Cool down on your yelling at women tho.-Thanks!

I agree with the others. Nicole and Brady belong together. Teresa and Ethan are boring. I liked the previous actress playing this role better. At least then we could imagine a different character not related to Passions.

OK did Rafe ever tell Sami why he was missing for so long? I can’t recall him ever telling her about Meredith. Maybe I missed that one. Anyway, I want Melanie with Nathan. I am tired of Hope. They have been together for so long and any time Bo does something that upsets her she treats him like dirt and pushes him away. Great communication after all these years.

I think Justin has this unwanted facination with Carly. I think that is why he tried to get her to leave town and why he tried to sabotage her interview at the hospital. How weird was that?! I think he is on the verge of panic and does not know how to handle it other than to get Carly out of town and out of his mind. He is attracted to her and he doesn’t want to be! He is involved in his own marital problems and he definitely DOES NOT want to get involved with Carly. They ain’t gonna split Bo & Hope permanently, so you know they have got to eventually pair Justin and Carly up…if not with each other, then with somebody else. He almost seemed desperate to get Carly out of town. I mean, I know that he thinks a lot of Hope, but to go as far as trying to sway the hospital on hiring her? That’s sticking the nose in a little to far.

I think it’s pretty sad that Xmas will not be at Alice’s this year…that is stupid!!! Yes to #6 and #12. I want to see Hope squirm some more, and I hope someone knocks that stupid hat off her that showed in the coming attractions today. She looked so bad in it! I want Mel to realize she has deep feelings for Nathen and for them to be together. Finally Rafe and Carley meet. Sydney needs to appear on Sami’s doorstep soon because we are all sick of that storyline. Anna can come back and give Roman the TLC he deserves after she gets out of jail for kidnapping. The Horton Christmas should be interesting to see what excuses they give for all the missing Hortons!

I agree that Hope is treating Bo like dirt but at the same time I don’t want to see them with other people, they are like 1 of 2 fave couples,since John and Marlena left I don’t see many couples on the show now that are still in love. I love Viv being back on, she’s kinda refreshing to see her back after so many years. I also agree with the Sydney story, here’s an idea, Roman called Anna and she refused to spend Christmas with everyone so why doesn’t he stop by for a visit with her, and who does he find Sydney, just an idea. In my opinion Nathan should be with Mel, Steph with Phil and Mia with Will and I think that covers most of what I feel for now. They aren’t celebrating at Alice’s because she is in her 90′s and has been trying to recover from a stroke. That’s why she isn’t seen on the show anymore. Merry Christmas! Jesus is the reason for the season!

Please get rid of Hope. I just watched her rip apart Bo to his niece Sami. According to Hope who is such a \know it all bitch\, Ciara is still having nighmares because of Bo. Hope says to Sami \go with your gut feeling\ and if she had gone with her \gut feelings\ when Ciara was kidnapped and given the kidnappers the ransome money then Ciara would have been ok, but Bo had to do it by the book. Well excuse me you stupid woman, but Bo had a vision that Ciara would be killed if you gave the kidnappers the money. So, Hope, would you rather your daughter be dead or having nightmares? Hope is so irritating. Bo saved the kid’s life for pete’s sake. Hope is bawling her head off under the Christmas tree but she keeps blaming Bo for everything. Please send her away pleeeeeeeeeeeese. I could have taken that stupid scarf of hers and just strangled her. She has to be the number one most sickenning character on the show. What I did like today was that look that Carly and Rafe exchanged on the peer. Now they would make a great refreshing duo!!

Wow! You guys really need to give Hope a break. I don’t agree with what she’s doing either, but keep in mind it’s the writers making this happen, not Hope. Hope and Bo are the only supercouple left of the veterans. The rest are all kids for pete’s sake! Bo and Carly may very well have their time for a while, but I have no doubt that Bo and Hope will win in the end. Lexie and Abe are still around, but have no storyline. The writer’s have taken away all our favorites, and given all the storylines to the kids on the show in an attempt to attrack a newer younger crowd, and it’s not working. Writers! please listen. I understand you have to bring in younger people as they are the future of the show, but you’ve gone too far with it! If you’d bother to read these postings, you’d see the fans have been unhappy for a long time. Get with the program and get the show back on it’s feet!
And by the way….Melanie needs to be with Nathan!

Yes! Yes! and Yes! Are you reading any of this writers. The only positive thing I can say about what I have been seeing is that Anna’s hair looked much better today and yesterday. I don’t want Mia with Chad, or Melanie with Phillip. Brady is just boring lately. Yes, Hope is a shrew, but Bo always trips over his lip and never tells her off like she deserves. It was her fault–all of it, and she blew yet another chance to go home. She certainly doesn’t need to give Sami advice, and who could listen looking at her in that ridiculous hat get up? I liked the idea of Roman going to see Anna and finding Sydney. Please let that be over for Christmas!

I am loving Mel and Phil. Unlike Nat, Phil loves her the way she is. She has never had to apologize to Phil for anything. Nat has no time for Mel. He even reminds her he has no time for her and then gets on her case when she tries to have some sort of dialogue/relationship with him. That stinks and gets old fast. Phil will stop the sun just to make time for Mel. I want to see her in tight with the Kiriakis family. I want to see her laugh it up with good ol’ Victor and somehow help the father and son relationship. Her fatherless character needs that. I think Victor would make a cool father-in-law.

Are you kidding me? LOVE teresa and Ethan. I watched that show and was so bummed when it was done. Though I agree get them on a good story line! I don’t thinkt hey are ANYTHING like Theresa and Ethan though.

I wish Sami and Lucas honestly! I wish they would bring back Sheridan to be with Louise! Hmmmm Sheridan could be the new Carrie or some one like that.
Hope is a Moron. Why do they do they do the same story-line all the freaking time? Bo and hope break up, other couples, back together, have a baby. Something happens to the baby, break up. Repeat.

I was totally anti- Mel and Philip, Nathan and Steph until today. They somehow have made good couples, and #34 above has some good points. Though Mel and Nathan still seem reserved to get into new relationships, they definitely still have feelings for each other.
As if Hope’s horrendous hat wasn’t enough, they went and put her in that choker today – NOT a good look with how thin she is and her hair pulled back like that! Seems like the writers are trying to make us not like her.
There was a definite spark between Rafe and Carly when they met on the pier today, I would like to see a story there.
And I agree with some of the other posts above, I think it would be great if Roman decided to stop in on Anna to cheer her up for the holiday’s and get the surprise of his life!

I’m wondering why they are replacing Will with a new guy? Is this like the Arianna switch in that the public just isn’t drawn to him and want a new one? I also hope they don’t kill off Lucas, I’d like to see him get a new job out of town, so that maybe he could return again some day.

1. Ok very, very upset to hear Lucas was leaving the show. I always thought that Sami and himhad potential to be a supercouple. They’ve had history and storylines for nearly 15 years!! They are veterans at like 30!!!
2. Pro bo and Carly (only for now) , it would be nice to see hope and Bo have a good storyline for now and see her squirm. But you know that Bo and hope belong together in the end. I like the idea of Justin and Carly– they bicker so much and will eventually end up together, maybe??

Since when does it matter if they kill a character off? Soap people die all the time and come back at some point with some far fetched reason for it. Just look at Stephano….the man has died a hundred times over! lol. John Black died more than once, Roman died, and it wouldn’t suprise me if they brought back Tony at some point. Don’t ask me how, but if they wanted to they’d figure out a way.
I totally agree with the comment about the choker on Hope’s neck! oh my god…she’s way too thin for that look.

Hope is disgusting period!! I’m going to go watch the show DVR’d today and hope the Sydney storyline is over–a faint hope? Right on, Paula,Arlene, and Renee! I always thought no one really died on Days, and then Grace died. I still have hopes for some of them to come back dead or alive, ha! I keep thinking about Nicole’s baby and Phillip’s child that was adopted. Those storylines may be a few years down the road, huh?

I agree with the poster who suggested that Lucas just take a trip, so that he can come back again someday.
Brady needs to realize that no one can replace Nicole in his heart, so just focus on getting her out of jail, and into a mental health program.
Not Rafe and Sami, it must be EJ and Sami, and EJ knows it. Rafe does too. Sami, Rafe is comfortable, but EJ is passion.
I like Mel, but I want her with Nathon. I like Phil.
Great idea for Roman to visit Anna, he needs someone, and Sami needs her baby.

Nathan is a great gut and willbe a fine doctor but he isnot for Stephany Stef is just getting over Phillip. It is to soon for Stef to be serious about any guy but after her time of “healing from a broken heart”, has passed, Stephany and Rafe will be a great couple and Lucas and Sami back together andlearn that all of Sami’s children belong to Lucas and none belong to E.J. that will be great also. Still I have not figured out who keeps calling Anna.
Hope is looking thinner and thinner is she ill or on a diet? Someone should give Hope a huge stake dinner with a large slice of triple chocolate cake for desert. Then she could go remove Carly from Bo’s presents, take Ceara and go home to Bo.
I saw Johnny for a few minutes Christmas day, Friday, but where is Allie? Allie, Johnny, and Theo should be seen more. Sydney should be returned to Sami then Sami could have a family gathering with Will, Johnny, Allie, Sydney and then Abe and Lexie could bring Theo over.
We still miss our favorite 4. John&Marlena and Steve/Patch&Kayla.

This baby thing is getting old. Roman should pop in on Anna and see she has Sydney. Give her back to Sami and Rafe . Love Sami and Rafe thing he can handle her . EJ needs to find someone new get over Sami for good . I am finding myself using the fast forward button on my DVR more and more. Pretty soon, I’ll just quit taping the show altogether.
If they are going to keep the younger characters (Will/Mia/Chad/Gabi) they need to ________________. Plus their storylines are downright boring.
The Hope sob story doesn’t even make sense. I am not a Kristian Alfonso fan; ______________. The guy that plays Justin _____________
If it wasn’t for the seasoned actors (Victor, Stephano, Vivian, Kate, Maggie) I wouldn’t watch the show at all anymore.
In fact, as I write this, I think I am done with it. Time to delete the program from my DVR.

Do not agree with the last two posts. Have you been watching every day? Hope has been a royal (fill in the blank). Bo has been stupid not to tell her how it is and say choose what you want, or fish or cut bait! I like Carly, but I do believe she will end up with someone else. She can have EJ, but she’s older than he is–”Cougar!” I like Rafe too, though I think he needs a bona fide job!!

I think EJ needs to get back with Nicole. Otherwise, he should be alone. He is always screaming at someone. Stefano needs to tied in a chair and all the people he has hurt needs to continue to tell him what they have done to him because he doesn’t seem to remember the hurt he has caused. I don’t like Stephanie and her innocent act. She wants people to believe she is this innocent goody two shoes and she isn’t. Nathan needs to grow a backbone and go after what he wants and punch Phillip in the nose. Carly would be better to Bo then Hope. Hope has always been this sainted character and never makes mistakes. Rafe is a good guy and I think he makes Sami happy, he doesn’t belittle her and call her names like EJ.

I, for one, would like to see Steph and Phil back together – they are both totally useless, self-absorbed characters. I like Nathan and think he has a lot of potential and actually really like he and Melanie together.

Yes and yes #56 and 58! I like the Carly and Roman idea though from #57. Bo needs to put his foot down on Hope though and say come home or leave me alone. Vivian and Victor are too funny and the witless comments from Viv are disgustingly funny! Chloe and Dan there with Stephano and the woman that tried to murder Chloe–more sparks should have flown!! I am looking forward to seeing Nath and Phil in the cell.

Also, they should have had Christmas at Mrs. H’s. They could have said she was upstairs lying down as she didn’t feel well. It wasn’t the same at Bo and hope’s and with them fighting it just killed their Christmas tradition. They should have had bo and hope back together by then and had a nice Christmas like they do every year.

Well I am just tuning back into days now for the past couple of months, I took about a year off due to no time
but since i have started watching I was a little confused with all the new characters, I think that Ann will be caught and Sydney will be brought home soon, I mean she wrote the note and she obviously is doing something, planning something. I do miss all the old characters, marlena, john, belle and Shawn, they were all very great actors and had great story lines, I can tell the whole show has taken a new twist, especially adding passion characters, for people who never watched passions before it might not be such a big deal, but for me I was an avid passions watcher and man it confused me, I was like “Why is Theresa on days?? what’s going on??” by far her role is not as crazy as her role on passions, she was great on that show, on this show I find her a little boring so far, but love her as an actress and lets see where her story line takes her, could be a short run, with the whole drug dealer thing. I never knew carly from the show but she seems interesting, and her and bo do have a spark…

I don’t want Bo & Hope’s marriage to end. I just want Hope to stop being so stubborn. Days Christmas was pretty much ruined for this year. Usually they find a way to bring the characters together, put a temporary cap on the drama to make it heartwarming. A nice little break for us but there was nothing special about it this year. Not for any of the characters really.

…i loved melanie’s reaction today in the kitchen with both momma’s from hades….it was pretty good viewing…and where does nathan get off, telling mel the engagement is kinda sudden…didn’t he just make plans to spend a little alone time with stephanie at a quaint little inn, somewhere for new years.!!…..and he just kissed stephanie good-bye not even half an hour earlier…the two timing jealous jerk..!!!….hope came home five minutes to late..lol…..bo’s crasy for carly, just like last time…carly will end up dumping him for daniel, you watch….i’m right about this…

Why does everyone keep saying they want the veteran actors on? When they are on it is so boring. What keeps a show fresh is new faces. I have been watching for over 20 years and it refreshing to see new characters. Everything has been done with Hope Bo Roman, etc. In fact it has been done 2 or three times.

To the writers of this soap opera: The chemistry between Nathan and Melanie is undeniable. Steph is showing an evil side-nice to know she is human . . does anyone remember the balloon ride Phillip arranged for he and Mel? Remember Steph mentioned she always wanted to take a hot air balloon ride? They should be together New Years Eve and Nat and Mel should have a hot love scene with the arrangements Chloe made for them. What ever happened to that?

i have watched days since bo and hope first got together. i can’t believe you would have carly and bo together again what a waist. bo and hope make people believe that there is romance in marriage. there story was the most romatic story on days. how could you ruin it by bringing carly back what a total waist. bo and hope forever. then we have passion the old soap. give it a rest. Passions was passions and Days is Days. how could you make the two together (Brady and Arianna) Bringing Viv back total waist there. And all the young ones on there thats a joke. cant leave a good thing alone.thats the trouble with this world. to bad. i will watch till the end but after all these years watching days.things will have to change or Days will be gone.

What I miss the most is the development of the “supercouple”. Yesterday when they showed many of the old scenes between Bo and Hope, it quickly took me back to when days was about love and romance, not just sex and who sleeps with who. That’s what made Days great. I wish the writers could see that too. The show needs to gain some focus again.

im a young viewer that has been watching dool for a long time and these new idiot characters are destroying the show. i mean if you are gonna bring in young characters at least make sure they can act. please give the older characters some better storylines. giving nathan advice yesterday is the most airtime ive seen outta lexie lately and yall brought stefano back just get him married when is the big stuff from him gonna happen? bo and hope were the reason i started watchin dool but now the writers have her actin like such an idiot that id rather bo be with carly so please write back in the hope we all love so that doesnt happen. i dont wanna see dool get cancelled so please get it goin back on track!

I so agree with you Tess. Hope is so horrible. I mean she really is sickening. The way she looks at Bo when she feels so hurt.Her puppy dog eyes are really getting on my nerves. How about that brown sweater she had on for two shows.Oh my gosh! It showed how truely thin she really is. Just awful. When I look at her in past memories, she looked heavey at first, then lost some of it and looked so nice. But now when she turns sideways, then front ways, there’s no difference in her face. It is almost pointy. Any one that comes to my house when I’m watching & sees Hope on, they say oh, there’s sketal Hope. They are right. I’m sure she’s nice in person. That’s just me venting on.
Get Ari & Brady together. I like them. But not this drug story.And get Mel back with Nathan. You can see she’s pining away for him. I really think Phil is doing this to get even with Steph. I don’t feel he really wants Mel.

The writers are experts in manipulating the audience so that we either hate or love a character. They want us to hate Hope now and so that is why they have turned her into a snoop, an eavesdropper and a real butinski and are making her treat Bo so meanly as she blames him for all that is wrong with the world and her life. That is so that we are not mad at Bo when he locks lips with Carly. Ordinarily we would be very angry with Bo for doing so but how can we be since she has treated him so badly? The writers have something up their sleeve. I have a question about Justin. Do you think he wakes up each morning with that silly grin on his face?

Maybe Carly had hanky panky with Trent and he is (was) her daughter’s father. Notice how Carly always refers to “her daughter” and has not once said it is Mel. We are just assuming her daughter is Melanie. Could be another young girl living in Salem.

I’m so sick of Kate and vivian who never get punished..I know this is a soap but come on!..Hope is not Hope anymore..the writers brought in Carly to spice things up..bope is not the super couple they were meant to be..I find Carly boring and needy..and Bo falls for her so easily..Hope should just throw herself at him..It’s obvious they have lost that sexual spark..Please get rid of Stephanie and Chloe she should get revenge on Kate…What will Roman do when he finds out his ex wife and mother of his daugh Carrie kidnapped his grtand daugh…Will they make Anna a nutjob who will go unpunished like the others..Days has become very frustrating to watch…Do we have new writers? …I thought Days was going to end in 2009?

I can’t stand Carly but she makes the story more interesting.
I think Nicole has been the most interesting character for awhile now and I would love to see her get out of jail and finally fall in love with Brady – he’s awesome.
Melanie would be the perfect addition to the Kiriakis clan.
Will is a horrible actor – let him go. Lucas wasn’t much better… glad he’s gone.
Sami and EJ will end up together again. I think Rafe should end up with Stephanie.
