The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brad Bell Discusses the Future of His Show.

Looking ahead.
In light of As the World Turns‘ cancellation, B&B‘s executive producer and head writer Brad Bell recently spoke with TV Guide Magazine about the future of his show.
Throughout the interview Bell remained positive about the fate of his show saying he was not concerned about CBS chairman Les Moonves’ declaration that the days of the ‘client-owned’ soap are over. “I believe that he was specifically referring to the P&G shows when he said that. B&B just recently signed a two-year deal with CBS in October, so we have legs with the network. Y&R signed a similar deal around the same time.”
Bell is also not worried about being one of only two CBS soaps. “I’m not concerned. Days of Our Lives is standing alone on NBC and their recent numbers have been pretty good, so I think the two soaps can hold their own on CBS.”
Brad recognized they may still need to make changes and cutbacks in order to produce a more economical show, but ended the interview saying, “It’s not over yet for the Bell family. We plan to be in this business for many years to come.”

Someone tell me what happened to the Hector character that Lorenzo Lamas played? Wasn’t it on Bold and Beautiful?
