The Young Musicians Foundation will honor The Young and the Restless actress Tracey Bregman (Lauren Baldwin/Sara Smythe) on Saturday May 22 with the second Emerald Star Award of 2010. Tracey will be recognized for her dedication to philanthropy and the various youth organizations that they help. Along with Tracey, the last surviving cast member of “Gone With The Wind,” Ann Rutherford will be honored in the grand ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel at located at 9876 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills, California.
The young actress joined the cast of Days in January 2009 and has made a strong impression on viewers with her performance as the troubled and troublesome teen who has been a major player in some of last year’s major plots. No word yet on what twist in the plot will lead to her departure, but we will be sure to keep you informed.
Fresh from a win at the Streamy Awards, “The Bannen Way” is now set to take the Webby awards.
The internet series, starring GH alum Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda) has been nominated for Best Drama and Best Editing in the Online Film & Video categories. Veteran TV actress Michael Learned will be coming to Port Charles.
The actress will be joining the cast of GH for a short-term story. Learned will play a cancer patient named Shirley Smith and will be interacting with the show’s hospital staff. She is best known for her performance as Olivia Walton on “The Waltons,” but she has appeared on Daytime before, notably as Judge Turner on All My Children and One Life to Live in 2005.
