All My Children‘s Jacob Young (JR Chandler) and General Hospital‘s Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake) have joined together to give women a girl’s day out.

On Saturday July 10, the soap stars will be at Michael Gaughan’s South Point Exhibit Hall, located at 9777 Las Vegas Blvd. in Las Vegas, Nevada for “Girls’ Day Out.” This event is free to the public, even if they aren’t female, and includes free parking. It will run from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Attendees can catch the Daytime stars between 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM. If you’re there, you can also catch American Storm: America’s Hottest Male Revue (12:00 PM to 2:00 PM) and Frank Marino’s Divas (on stage at 11:00 AM and again at 1:00 PM). GH‘s James Franco (Franco) is back this week and our own Lori Wilson chatted with the actor.

Franco dishes on his return, shooting scenes with his mother and his upcoming art show among other things.

Soaps.com: Your mother is coming on as Franco’s mother. Does this mean we will learn more about Franco’s past and what’s shaped him?

James: Yeah. You do get to see some of Franco’s past. My real mother plays my character’s mother on the show. My mother is a children’s book author and young adult novelist, but she has been taking acting classes for the past three years, so this is her first professional job as an actor.
