Taking another shot at Primetime, Jennifer Finnigan (ex-Bridget, B&B) has landed another ABC pilot.

Finnigan will be seen in ABC’s new series, “Better Than You.” She plays a thirtysomething lawyer named Maddie who starts to examine her long term relationship with her boyfriend after learning that her little sister has already gotten engaged. November 8 will be the 45th anniversary of Days and the show will celebrate by going High-Definition (HD).
Executive in charge of production and senior VP of Corday Productions, Greg Meng, told Broadcasting Cable that even though this change will be “an expensive transition in the seven figures,” the executives felt it was a necessary step “to produce and deliver a contemporary show with the most up-to-date look.” Read the rest of this entry »

Kevin Schmidt recently announced he’d been let go in the role of Noah Newman and now the show has recast the part. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Luke Kleintank (“Gossip Girl,” “The Good Wife,” and “Law & Order: SVU”) will appear as the new Noah on September 21!

TV Guide is reporting that the two-time Emmy Award winning actress will first appear on October 8 and begins taping September 1, mere days before As the World Turns’ last airdate.
