On Facebook, General Hospital writer Karen Harris has announced that she will be leaving the series.
Harris has been writing for the characters in Port Charles since 1993. She also worked on the series’ offspring, “General Hospital: Night Shift” and was the head writer for “Port Charles.” In addition to her extensive work on Daytime, she also created the webseries “Life in General.”
On her Facebook page, she posted that she is “deeply moved by the expressions of support and encouragement from friends and FB buddies at my upcoming departure from GH (Dec.5). I’ll be posting more about my plans as we get closer to the date. Didn’t want to let more time go by without acknowledging how grateful, and lucky, I am. Thank you, thank you.”
