Tom Casiello, who was given a trial run to write for The Young and The Restless in March 2009, has made the decision to leave the number one Daytime drama behind. Tom explained through a letter to his fans and friends on Facebook that this decision had nothing to do with anyone at “Y&R” but rather, “It was a personal decision for myself, my own abilities, my own life – and has nothing to do with anything at the show.” Tom’s last episode will air on May 27.
Tom also talked about an incredible opportunity that has come his way, and Soap Opera Fan Blog wishes Tom the very best with the next adventure in his career. We’ve enjoyed watching his writing come alive through many Genoa City storylines.

On Saturday April 16 former “The Young And The Restless” actress Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters) will be the keynote speaker at the National Coalition of 100 Black Women-Greater Huntsville Chapter’s forth annual conference titled “Sisters Involving Sisters Together Empower Results.” The theme of the conference is “Embracing Education Empowers the Mind.” Victoria will also hold a book signing following the conference.

Adrienne Barbeau wrapped up shooting for the role of Suzanne on April 12. Look for her to leave the canvas soon, though there is talk the character will return.
Bruce Weitz will be back as Anthony Zacchara during the week of April 18.
Sean Blakemore (Shawn) has been placed on contract.

As the search continues, Hope starts to blame herself for the kids running over the fence and to the big, bad outside world.
