She also played Ceara Connor Hunter on “All My Children” from 1990 to 1992, Ceara Connor Hunter on “Loving” in 1991 and Diana Colville on “Days Of Our Lives” from 1987 to 1989.
Claim to fame: Genie won a Daytime Emmy in 2007 for Outstanding Supporting Actress (“General Hospital”) and was nominated in 2002 (Special Fan Award America’s Favorite Couple, “GH”) and 1997 (Outstanding Lead Actress, “GH”). In 1981 she won a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress, “GH.”
Trivia: The actress has two children, loves to knit, runs a cottage home and furnishings accessory store in Belfast, Maine called “The Cherished Home,” and admitted she’d been heavily addicted to drugs in the early 1980s.
