It was all about the fine line between romance and skankiness in Salem this week. Daniel were making Jenn sweat in her sweat pants. Before he could start chewing off the ice cream encrusted on her tank top, Abby walked in. Daniel’s hair popped into instaperm and he rushed away to the hospital. He and Mel engaged in their daily smirking session. She hiccuped laughs until Maxine tipped them off that Carly was ill. The intrepid doctor rushed to her side. Carly still lives in a hotel room. He checked her out and guessed she didn’t get her shots. He’s only a surgeon after all, he can’t be expected to know the difference between drug withdrawal and a stomach bug. Then again, it was unclear whether Carly’s exploding insides were caused by drugs or the spectacle of Dannifer’s face sucking shenanigans. When she returned to work and he was talking about Jenn, she could barely control the desire to sink into a narcotic stupor. At the hospital, Carly thanks Daniel for his bowl of soup. She’s disturbed when he explains that he’s going away for the weekend. With some prodding, he admits Jennifer is going with him. He reminds her that she pushed them together and offers to play matchmaker for her. Carly doesn’t like that idea. As he walks off, she mumbles about how she could be happy with him. Maxine wanders by and tells Carly she should go home if she’s still sick. She bustles off and Carly swipes the keys to the medicine room. Sneaking in, she tries to battle off thoughts of Dannifer by filling her purse with pills. She goes back to her room, cracks open a bunch of pills and starts snorting them. Things may be looking gloomy for Ashley Abbott right about now, but her stroke of bad luck can’t last forever. Fans can look forward to seeing Ashley stick around Genoa City for the foreseeable future. In response from some “Days Of Our Lives” fans suggesting Eileen return to the Salem cast, Eileen stated on her official Facebook page, “I love hearing from all you “Days” fans! That was a great time. I just re-signed with “Y&R,” though. I wish I could do both, but they are different networks.”

Phyllis heads over to Billy and Victoria’s and doesn’t receive a warm welcome. Victoria wants her to wait for the social worker, but Phyllis insists on visiting Lucy immediately then calls Daniel to ream him out for not being with his daughter. After a barely civil conversation with Billy, Victor has a confrontation with Phyllis, who refuses to back down. Victor makes it clear he has no plans to either.
Francisco San Martin (Dario) announced that he will be leaving Salem behind. The actor tweeted that, “I wanted you guys to hear it from me first: ‘DOOL’ has decided to bring back some of the old characters and I’ll be one of the casualties.” He later added that, “I’m on ‘Days’ until early July.
