Adam corroborated Victor’s confession, who admitted to Michael he was covering for Nikki. Sharon accused Adam of trying to get payback then hired Avery to help represent Victor. Adam confronted Nikki for letting Victor take the fall. Deacon also told Nikki if he divulged who helped Victor kill Diane it would destroy her family. Adam blackmailed Victor into letting him run Newman, much to Nick’s chagrin. Ronan expressed doubts over Victor’s guilt. After the judge refused to accept Victor’s guilty plea, the D.A. fired Ronan. Victor paid off the new detective to put his fingerprints on the syringe used to inject Diane. Nikki got smashed and leaned on Deacon, who assured someone he’d pay a debt soon. He whisked Nikki to Vegas for a quickie wedding then leaked a photo to the press. Victor saw it.
