Soaps.com had a chat with Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) about her character’s past, her possible future and extremely stressful present.
Here’s a sample:
“I have no idea. I wouldn’t want to be the writers right now. I just think it’s so hard. I have no idea how it’s going to pan out. I really don’t. It’s going to be interesting. And hard. Corbin Bernsen (ex-Father Todd Williams), the son of “The Young And The Restless’” Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) has been asked if he’s available for a brief Genoa City return. Though no specifics are available at this time, Corben took to Facebook to share a message with fans on Jeanne’s current status.
“Many again are asking about my mom so I want to clear this up. No, she hasn’t been on the show lately but nothing is wrong with her. That said, she is a bit older now and was working 5 days a week, late into the nights, early up in the morning and it took a toll. She is simply “readjusting” to her age and ability to be able to carry on with the crazy hectic schedule of doing a show that shoots daily – all year long. We all have to make “shifts” in our life as we move into new phases of what our minds and bodies are able to do. That’s where she’s at now. So again, nothing terrible, just a little rest and then creating a new path for how she can still give it her best – and you know she’ll do nothing less – and then back to work. In fact she’s working tomorrow/today – depending on when you’re reading this. And FYI “Y&R” fans, they’ve just asked if I’m available for a few days coming up…ahh, the priesthood! Hello Father Todd!”
