It was a busy week in daytime as every show had storylines moving along with big reveals and events, like Daniel’s hearing on “Y&R”, Sonny’s trial on “GH”, and Stefano’s gift to Sami on “DOOL”. One of the best bits, however, came in the form of comedy with Amber’s cross-dressing prank on Rick on “B&B”. If you missed any of the big moves this past week, read below for some insight from our writers into what went down on each show last week.
Big things happened for everyone last week as Bo woke up from his coma, Sami took over Countess W, Ian hired Kate and Lexi told EJ about her tumor. But the biggest news in Salem this week, bigger even than Rafe’s man-sized bowl of ice cream, was the reveal that EJ is not really Stefano’s son. Christine says, “I find it difficult to believe Sami is this stupid to take a job working for Stefano. Doesn’t she remember how the whole Stan debacle turned out? As if she would do this five minutes after busting Will’s chops about working for EJ! The very same man she offered friendship. It’s all baffling isn’t it? ” Read more at Days Of Our Lives Weekly Blog.
Watching Adam’s scenes were delicious this week, especially since we have no idea when is more volatile side will make an appearance. The Victor/Jack/Gen/Nikki scenes were entertaining, even though it makes now sense for Gen to even be in bed with Victor literally when it only had to be figuratively. Meanwhile, Ricky gets creepier each and every time we see him, especially when paired with conniving Daisy. Candace says, “Daisy’s showing shades of her true self this week, which means it’s only a matter of time until things come to a head and something awful happens. Ricky is proving to be a real nemesis for Phyllis. I cringed when that sleazeball had Lucy in his car!” Read more at The Young And The Restless Weekly Blog.
Despite much more face time, we are still kind of in the dark about what kind of person Caroline is. Hopefully we will learn more about her in the coming weeks. Other than that, things were pretty entertaining last week as Amber messed with Caroline’s head and Pam and Donna elicited some laughs.Overall, Bill had some of the most entertaining scenes of the week. Candace says, “Bill’s blunt opinions on his wife’s niece’s sanity might be offensive if it wasn’t so funny the way he delivers the digs. It’s hysterical watching Liam huff and puff as Bill smirks, shrugs, and says things like, ‘Crazy is forever.’ He just cannot stop himself from commenting, despite his promises to butt out after the fake brain tumor debacle. Ya’ gotta’ love Bill!” Read more at The Bold And The Beautiful Weekly Blog.
This week was a total bummer for a lot of people in Port Charles, except Sonny, who was found not guilty at his trial. But bad news for others meant total entertainment for us, especially where Kate and Connie were concerned. Lulu may be on to something, and so might Spinelli. And good or bad, Jason finally knows the truth, and it is a good thing Sam is the one who laid it out to him that Franco is he baby daddy. Lori says, “Is he really? Since we never saw it and Sam doesn’t remember what happened, it’s not a given that Franco actually raped her. With Heather back and Franco’s dead body never seen, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that the results were tampered with. This is General Hospital we’re talking about. The place isn’t exactly known for accurate results.” Read more at General Hospital Weekly Blog.
Ian introducing Kate to the Mad World family was a definite highlight, as was Carrie’s fantasies about Rafe while in bed with Austin. And we were all shocked to learn EJ drinks herbal tea as a hangover cure. Matt says, “Chad and Mel had problems of their own. Apparently the exclusive new body spray that CW designed for him was working because he was being swarmed by skanks, hos and hoochies. It was like watching the sea gulls in the alley behind the pub. Although Mel made short shrift of the shifty shegoats, she had a bigger problem. Gabi still had her shifty eyes set on having a chowder bowl full of Chad herself. She wanted to rope Will into helping her. He refused and then broke the news that he was gay. She didn’t seem that surprised. The last guy she had a crush on was gay too. ” Read more of Matt’s take at Matt’s Musings.
