General Hospital: Nominations For The 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

“General Hospital” had a strong showing this morning when nominations were announced for the 39th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards. In fact, they led the way with 23 nominations total – more than any other show.

Both Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Anthony Geary (Luke) received an Outstanding Lead Actor nomination for their work on the show, while Laura Wright (Carly) was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress. Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) and Rebecca Herbst (Liz) are both nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category, while Chad Duell (Michael) and Nathan Parsons (Ethan) were both recognized in the Outstanding Younger Actor category.

Possibly the most exciting of all wast he fact “GH” dominated the Outstanding Supporting Actor nominations, with Bradford Anderson (Spinelli), Sean Blakemore (Shawn), Jonathan Jackson (Lucky), and Jason Thompson (Patrick) all getting a nod.
