Ups and downs aplenty last week. “B&B” fans got mostly downs as the show continued to plod along the Liam/Steffy/Hope triangle. What would do it for me would be to bring back Deacon and let us see what is on the end of that video! “Y&R” continued to excite as long as Kevin and Chloe aren’t involved. But please, more Carmine. Anthony’s body was found on “GH,” and that opened a can of worms for quite a few characters. Can’t wait to see how Todd cares for Luke while Heather is in custody. And “DOOL” needed some help figuring out just who the characters even were last week. Read more about the rest below.
As bad as things looked for Paul last week, they were beginning to look even worse for Phyllis. Nick hit the bricks, her hit-and-run scandal is just getting started, and something tells me we have not heard the last from that missing psychologist she paid off not too long ago. Not that we have any problems with that! Christine says, “Like Sharon, I love Phyllis when she’s nuts. Are you seeing a trend? Most fans are tickled pink at the prospect that Phyllis could get her arse thrown in jail. I don’t recall Christine being on the payroll as a federal agent – was that a rewrite to make things seem more dire for Phyllis? Either way, it worked. The evidence is piling up and honestly I see no way out for her. I can’t imagine how she must be feeling and I don’t see it likely that she’ll get off at this point.” Read more at Young And The Restless Weekly Blog.
Salem continues to have issues with storylines and characters (Nicole and Daniel? Kate and Ian? Brady and Madison?) and we are sick of it. Christine says, “Here’s another boring couple… Carrie and Austin. Same old same old. Austin walked in on Cafe once again and overheard something she shouldn’t have been saying. Blah blah blah. You know, last week I actually felt for Carrie, who seemed as though she really was serious about staying away from Rafe but then a day later she’s back in his life, having coffee with him. She’s testing my patience to the limit. I must say though, her acting was fantastic. Still, there should be a repeat alert scrolling across the bottom of the screen when these three appear. “Warning: Soap viewers may have already seen this scene two or three times this year.” Read more at Days Of Our Lives Weekly Blog.
Are we really still talking about Hope, Steffy and Liam? Honestly, this has been going on so long it is hard to think there are other characters on the show. Last week we got a seemingly forced dose of Dayzee and Marcus, who were able to move toward a wedding on one week that it took Hope and Liam over a year to do. Ally says, “Again, more of the same drama surrounding Liam, Steffy and Hope dominated the episode. One minute, Steffy is telling Liam she would love to be married to him, and the next second she is telling him he did the right thing by marrying Hope. Steffy is too good for this back and forth bit. The exchange between Taylor and Brooke was great, as they wondered if they would have been friends had they not been always fighting over Ridge. Now, their daughters are in the same old situation. Wouldn’t it be great if Steffy and Hope learned from their mamas, both agreed they were sick of fighting over Liam, joined forces and moved on?” Read more at The Bold And The Beautiful Weekly Blog.
Award for most out-of-touch goes to Steve, hands down. His lack of responsibility with his mother only made me madder when he got all up in Liz’s business. He has plenty to worry about on his own. Hollie says, “First of all, how inappropriate was it for Steve to get all up in Jason’s face at Kelly’s about his kiss with Liz? He had no idea what had even really happened, and then got all up in Jason’s face in public. Liz must have been mortified! Thank goodness Anna called him down to the station so he could extract himself from the mess he started. Once there, he couldn’t believe his murderous, black-market baby selling momma could be involved transporting a dead body. And poor Olivia! When she tried to talk some sense into him and reiterated the fact he took legal responsibility for her actions, she was worried about him. Can’t wait to see the look on his face when it comes out that she killed Maggie just for him. And I really hope we get to see the look on his face when Olivia kicks him to the curb. He deserves it.” Read more at General Hospital Weekly Blog.
While Will loved the power he had over EJ, EJ agreed to take a polygraph. Meanwhile, Lucas and Sami had a talk about their relationship just before she shared some serious sexual tension with EJ. Matt says, “Now that Sami has become used to seeing Lucas wearing her dainties and delicates again, they decided it was time to have a serious relationship talk. Lucas whipped out a bracelet which Alice had left for Sami. He wasn’t going to bother giving it to her, but now that they’re sleeping together, he thought he had to reward her with something. If they manage to keep hooking up every few years like they have been, eventually he’ll have to give her Alice’s false teeth.” Read more at Matt’s Musings.
