The Young And The Restless Weekly Summary For July 2 – 6.
After Abby admitted to Ashley, over the phone, that her kidnapping was a publicity stunt, Ashley was forced to admit Victor had been right. Abby’s attraction to Carmine grew. She promised Carmine she’d have his back when they returned to Genoa City. They kissed and agreed to see where things went when they returned home. Meanwhile, Ashley went to Kay’s July 4 party with Tucker, who bonded with Devon. Sofia gave Neil the go-ahead to pursue Harmony. Later, Abby and Carmine found Ashley and Tucker at the coffeehouse. After Abby introduced Carmine as her boyfriend, both were arrested! Everyone was furious that Abby showed no remorse for her stunt. Though Abby was released on bail, Carmine was held for attempting to kidnap Chloe.
Eden woke up and had no memory of how she ended up in Ricky’s room – or that Ricky had a knife. While Ronan questioned Paul over Ricky’s death, the knife couldn’t be found. Later, Ronan planned to bring Paul in, but Paul had left town to tell Isabella the news. Just as Heather put out an APB on her father, Paul turned himself in and was stunned to hear Eden had no memory to back him up. Though he told Ronan that Ricky confessed to three murders, Ronan still needed proof. Michael told Lauren that Paul’s gun was unregistered, which meant the shooting could’ve been premeditated. Lauren admitted the gun was hers and vowed to turn herself in. Michael asked her to wait. After watching a surveillance video, Michael and Ronan questioned a maid, who found Daisy’s cell phone and wallet wrapped in a discarded newspaper outside of Ricky’s room. Meanwhile, Heather, who removed herself from the case, received a box of Ricky’s belongings.
Cane told Lily and Genevieve that he received a message from someone using the secret names only he and Samantha knew – ones they used to call each other as kids. The person claimed to have sent the twins their old childhood toys.
Victoria was stunned to hear of Adam and Chelsea’s engagement and worried they’d take Johnny from her. When Jeff heard, he still claimed William was Chelsea’s father. It wasn’t until Anita talked about the location of Jeff’s birthmark that Jeff welcomed Chelsea, a future Newman, with open arms. Anita warned if Jeff didn’t pay up, she’d reveal that they were still married.
