On Tuesday August 28 “The Price Is Right” will celebrate The Young And The Restless’ 10,000th episode and fans will have the chance to be in the studio audience. Special prizes will be given out to lucky winners and appearances by various Genoa City actors will take place as well.
Like most holidays next Monday September 3 will bring a soap opera pre-emption for all ABC, CBS and NBC soap operas. Due to Labor Day, sports events will air in place of “The Bold And The Beautiful,” “Days Of Our Lives,” and “The Young And The Restless,” with “General Hospital” airing an encore of its July 23, 2012 episode. Regular programming, with new episodes, will resume on Tuesday September 4.

Hanna, Spencer, and Aria watch coverage of Garrett’s trial beginning on TV at Hanna’s place. Emily is on her way over, so they discuss how they’re going to tell her about Paige. Emily arrives and Spencer tells her they called her over to warn her about Paige. They say they don’t think Garrett killed Maya, and show Emily the earring they found in Paige’s bag. Emily leaves.

Former “The Young And The Restless” actress Brenda Dickson (ex-Jill, 1986) talked to our sister site Soaps.com about the tell-all book she’s working on and stated, “This book is fabulous. Mel starts to have misgivings about trying to keep Nick in the clink. In desperation, she turns to Gabi for some words of wisdom. Gabi has a hard time handling the pressure and nearly confesses, but checks herself and just tells Mel to make sure Nick stays away. Meanwhile, Nick’s parole hearing begins. Jessica and Hope speak up for him and he makes a passionate plea to the board about how he has been reformed. Melanie suddenly runs in. She’s about to speak but has so many flashbacks she needs to leave the room. Everyone fusses until she returns and offers her testimony. Nick gets parole. Her family is shocked, but this is what Mel wanted. She hugs Maggie and explains she did this for her. Mel and Chad go home for sex while Brady fumes that Nick must be more dangerous than ever. Things get worse when Nick decides to stick around town instead of leaving with his mom.
