Once again, the world of soaps was full of high drama, intense passion and even a few clunker storylines. Fans were left hanging for one more week regarding the fate of their favorite Salemites on “DOOL,” Sharon continued to go off the rails on “Y&R,” the Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle dragged on over on “B&B” and sparks flew all over Port Charles on “GH.”
Genoa City was host to the gossipy Restless Style TV, Eden going under hypnosis, Adam and Kevin teaming up and Neil and Harmony’s painful first date. But it was Victor pushing Nikki’s buttons and Nikki needling Sharon, who started cracking up that held Candace’s attention. She says, “While Sharon hooking up with Victor will never be okay in my book, the story of Sharon getting utterly fed-up and becoming unhinged made for the most entertaining scenes this week. From her drunkenly crashing Nikki’s wedding reception, and kissing Tucker, to her denying any knowledge of the pre-nup and later setting it on fire, Sharon’s been a divine disaster!” Read more at The Young and the Restless Weekly Blog.
It’s been a long two weeks for “Days of our Lives” fans, but the Olympic break is finally over. Who survives and who parishes from the explosion? You’ll have to tune in to find out, but in the meantime, take a stab at the poll about Nicole. She apparently turns to Father Matt for advice on Daniel this week. What does he suggest she do? Vote in the Days of our Lives Saturday Teaser Poll: Fatherly Advice.
The socially conscious texting and driving storyline ended with a whimper and Taylor and Ridge took yet another walk down memory lane. Now that Ronn Moss is leaving as Ridge Forrester, it might be the last one they take for awhile. But it was the Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle that had Candace ranting. She says, “Liam reached a new low this week by leaving Steffy at his house while he ran over to get Hope to make his decision for him, but other than that, we’ve seen it and heard it all before. Hope wants everything to be perfect to the point of being nauseating, Liam’s lost all credibility, and Steffy has regressed from having some dignity back to throwing herself at the object of her affections. Bleh.” Read more at The Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Blog.
Jason and Sam couldn’t ignore their issues any longer and broached the topic of divorce, while Sam’s chemistry with McBain was hard to ignore. Jerry continued his reign of terror and Olivia may have had a premonition of Lulu’s pregnancy, but Todd and Carly’s sexual tension was the highlight for Hollie last week. She says, “Can we start calling them something yet, like Codd or Torly? I am really into the chemistry they had as she tried to think of people to set him up with. He somehow gets giddy adorable with her and the way she smiles when she is with him is what one would call infectious. I am calling it – these two are my new favorite couple-to-be!” Read more at General Hospital Weekly Blog.
The Olympics have put things in Salem on hold for two weeks, but that hasn’t stopped the drama. In case you’ve ever wondered how RoboRafe came to be, Matt shared his theory with a little “Days of our Lives” fan fiction. Matt says, “One dark and stormy night, Stefano showed up and ordered [Dr. Rolf] to produce some more pawns for him. After handing him the requisite DNA material that he’d stored in the cutting edge ziplock bag technology of the time, he ordered it done immediately. Rolf pointed out that it required a woman so his boss reminded him that there were plenty of excited women out in the club.” Read more at Days of our Lives Fan Fiction: The Origins of RoboRafe.
