ABC Soaps In Depth has confirmed the rumor that former “GH” star Greg Vaughan (ex-Lucky) will be joining the cast of “Days Of Our Lives.” However, unlike earlier rumors, it appears that the actor will be coming to Salem as Eric Brady, Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) brother.
Further details about this casting have not yet been released. Soap Opera Fan Blog will keep you informed as more information becomes available. Would you like to see more Bradys in town or do you think there are enough already?

Could use another male Brady, especially if Bo is leaving the show. But, I agree with Sam, Eric should be exactly the same age as Sami, right? They are twins, right?

Why bother, they don’t keep people anyway. As soon as you get used to someone, they are gone. They baited the fans with bringing back the old characters we loved and look what’s happened. What was it all for when so many are now being canned. It’s a shame what they have done to some of the new characters. Look at Daniel who came to the show as an upstanding surgeon. Gave him that disease that made him unable to operate. What was that all for? Now they just have him going from woman to woman and doing the same with Rafe now. Some characters have just quickly disappeared. Some of the old characters are doing things they would never do….Kayla working full time at the Pub?? Guess there will be no hospital now that Lexi is gone. Tom Horton is rolling over in his grave!! I’ve tried to hang on since I’ve been watching since the 60′s but I’m not sure I can anymore. Not worth the frustration only for a TV show.

I would like to see Daniel get back to doing what he loves that is being a surgeon & a real good doctor,he needs to let Nicole go back to Brady she will always love him & they belong together & Kristen dose not need to come to Salem,I thank Kalya & Abe will get together

Not thrilled with casting Greg Vaughan as Eric. AT ALL! I loved Jensen as Eric, and I thought Ritz Gregory did a great job on and off in the ’90′s and early 2000′s as Eric Brady as well. I’d love to see him back in the role. But Greg Vaughan, meh – too old and looks nothing like Sami. Frankly, there are better characters out there to concentrate on than Eric.

hasnt the last shawn just been let go from bold and the beautiful? its anoying when they recast someone who looks nothing like the character and is way older or younger…eric should be fairish and early to mid 30′s just like sammi

How can Sami be in early 30′s when Will is almost 20. Did she have him when she was 10?
Couldn’t agree more about Daniel. He was a good likeable Dr. when he first appeared but is now just a bed hopper. Too many bed hoppers in Salem, can’t wait for Nicole and EJ to get back together again.

um they aged will by 7 years or so in typical soap fashion..sammi had will in 99 i think so he should really only be 13…what im saying is that eric should look roughly the same age as sammi

Dami was 17 on the show when Will was born,they now have Will at 20 which would make her 37 for DOL purposes. Which would also fit the time frame for the others babies

um hello will was like 14 3 years ago and in 2002 he went from like 3 to 9 when they replaced the actor again..then again 3 years ago he aged 3 years.. the actress that plays sammi is 35 in real life…anyhow isnt will betrayed to be only 18?

just figured out why it did not make sense to me…here in australia we used to be 4 years behind so sammi actually had will in 95 not 99 so they have only aged him 2 years or so..but when they did replace the actors the character always looked older

alison sweeney is 35 but she looks early 30′s so eric should look early 30′s…greg vaughan looks nothing like her being a twin and that and also looking a fair bit older

Greg Vaughan is not that much older than Ali, he is 39, so he could play Eric. But I just read something about him not coming on as Eric, but as another undisclosed character, so don’t know who that would be.
I never saw him on GH, though, to me, he will always be Dan, Piper’s hunky boyfriend on “Charmed”.

I agree MaryJo, he is not much older at all. He is playing a younger character, just like Will and most other actors do. He is a cutie! I remember him from both versions of 90210. I think it will be great IF the writers know how to incorporate his character!

Greg Vaughan is not too old to portray a man in his middle thirties and I think is a wonderful choice for Eric Brady.

Finally, we get to meet Sami’s twin! Poor Eric has been alone in Colorado since birth without parents, family or even a picture of him. I guess we can all hope Samantha will have a true ally now.
