Watch the trailer for “Nashville,” which will air Wednesday nights at 10:00 PM on ABC. Jackson appears near the end.

Good news for Jonathan Jackson and his fans. ABC has picked up the pilot “Nashville” for its fall series lineup. The show will also feature fellow soap alum Hayden Panettiere, who played Lizzie on “Guiding Light.”

Deadline has reported that Jonathan Jackson (ex-Lucky) will be heading back to TV screens soon. The actor has been cast in the pilot for “Nashville.” The series is being produced for ABC and was written by Callie Khouri (“Thelma & Louise”). The show will follow the rise and fall of stars on the Nashville music scene. Jackson, who is a musician in real life, will be appearing as a bad boy musician and aspiring songwriter.
