Kelly and Val danced last on a night that saw Giles & Shawn both receive the first 10s of the season. The sizzling duo performed a contemporary, a.k.a lyrical, dance, which is passionate and expressive. Kelly had a hard time with it since she has built up so many walls, and was performing with a broken toe, but she told the cameras that Val is helping her learn to trust again.

After the dance, a very emotional Val and Kelly faced the judges. Len told Kelly she was the biggest revelation to him this season. Her dance was fabulous. Paula Abdul, who was a guest judge, called it beautiful. Bruno told Kelly she had the hardest dance of the night, but she did it beautifully. Carrie Ann called it stunning and that it took courage, but of course called out a few missteps. Carrie Ann gave Kelly & Val a 9, while Len, Bruno and Paula gave them 9.5s.
