This week, the celebrities were in charge of the artistic direction of their dances. It proved to be a successful idea as the judges were widely impressed.

Kelly & Val’s Paso Doble was no exception as once completed, “Dancing with the Stars” host Tom Bergeron thought they elicited the strongest reaction of the night up to that point. When it came time for the judges’ comments, Bruno called it Monaco’s defining performance. He tingled with pleasure. Carrie Ann said Kelly & Val were the couple to watch because of their chemistry. She concluded by calling the dance amazing. A stunned Len wondered where that came from. He loved Monaco’s focus and thought her arms were just as expressive as her face.

The duo received three 9s. They tied for the top spot with Melissa and Tony.

Tomorrow will deliver a double elimination. Will Kelly and Val get enough votes to survive another week? Read the full Dancing with the Stars recap at our sister site Reality TV Magazine and share your thoughts below.
