Last night Rylan posted on her Twitter that today October 2 would be her last day in the studios. As of yet no final air date for Abby has been announced.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that “The Young And The Restless” has let go of yet another actress. Not only is Genie Francis out at Y&R Marcy Rylan has been let go as Abby Newman – a role she’s played since 2010 – allegedly due to budget cuts.
Rylan took to Twitter to react and stated…

Whoever is making the decisions at Y & R right now is an idiot. Rylan is awesome and to lose her is just plain stupid. The Guiding Light made the same foolish mistakes. I have been with Y & R since day #1, there is no bigger fan. The person who needs to be cut is the person making all these really stupid decisions. Your show is going to suffer tremendously and end up like the Guiding Light (which was a joke for the last few months). I certainly hope that is not the case but I fear it will be.
