The short week only seemed to mean more action packed into all four shows. Katie’s crazy hit a crescendo on “B&B” while Brooke was the one with Stephanie near the end. Will and Gabi considered abortion on “Days,” as controversial today as it was decades ago. Quartermaine patriarch Edward passed away on “GH,” which lured family members old and new to the manse. And in Genoa City, Jack’s pill problem only seemed to get worse.
Rick called Eric to deal with business at a crucial moment, which took him away from his love Stephanie in her final moments. Luckily Brooke was there for her. “So it will be Brooke and Stephanie together at the end after all,” Candace said. “Brooke was very nurturing and calming – I enjoyed the scenes with her brushing Stephanie’s hair and dabbing her brow with a cool cloth, even as her own sense of panic rose at seeing Stephanie coughing up blood. Scary situation. I also love that they went outside in the sunshine.” Meanwhile things were heating up back at Forrester Creations. Read more in The Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Blog.
In Salem, Marlena made some bad decisions when it came to Kristen and John. “What to say about Marlena… obviously she shouldn’t have deleted the voicemails from Kristen,” Christine said. “Not only is it John’s business but it doesn’t help matters and the truth will always come out. I think she should have answered the calls which could have made for better drama rather than the passive aggression. I love that Marlena also thinks Kristen hired the muggers to attack Brady. Consider it. They ran off as she was dialing 911 instead of grabbing her phone and purse and running!” Read about more from last week in Salem in the Days of our Lives Weekly Blog.
Sonny made an offer that Dante and Lulu couldn’t refuse, and Hollie wasn’t sure they should. “While I can understand Dante’s hesitation in taking Sonny’s money – their relationship will always be complicated simply because of what they do – I am glad he and Lulu decided to take him up on it,” she said. “And not just for their sakes, but for Sonny’s too. He has been dealt some heavy blows lately after losing Bernie and Jason and Kate. A new baby to focus on is just what everyone needs. But only if we can just let this baby arrive, happy, healthy and not destined for doom like so many other children on Daytime.” Read more in the General Hospital Weekly Blog.
Everyone had an opinion on Gabi’s pregnancy while she and Will struggled with how to take care of the situation. “Rafe discovered that his baby sister had been mixing baby batter and he was not a proud big brother,” Matt said. “He wanted to rip Nick limb from limb so Sami had to calm him down with the magic of her soft cardigan sweater. Sami proceeded to break the news to Nick that he was going to be a father. He barely reacted. He’s probably still in shock about the fact that he’d been released from prison into a world without Ding Dongs. Meanwhile, Gabba and Will were stuck with the quandary of how to pay for her abortion. He managed to convince his father and his lover to pay for his ‘school project’. When asked what it was, he explained that he and Gabba had entered a science fair to try and prove that grief sex leads to super potency.” Read more of Matt’s take on last week’s show in Matt’s Musings.
It was a sad Thanksgiving in Genoa City, but at least we got to see some heat surrounding the suspicious fire. “It will be interesting to see if it comes out that Sharon started the fire at the ranch now that she’s confessed to Noah,” Candace said. “Will everyone else be as understanding as her son? I think not. It may also come out that Adam hired the firebug to take suspicion off Sharon. If so, Chelsea might align herself with Jeff (who lost his restaurant), and if that happens, look out Genoa City! In other news, Adam’s saying otherwise, but his actions seem to hint that way deep down he cares more about Sharon than Chelsea. Also, it was stellar to have Sharon and Phyllis share scenes this week – it’s been too long.” Read about more drama in The Young and the Restless Weekly Blog.
